Q:Will the connectors accept 12 gauge wire if it is already installed? I know it?s designed for 14/2 but, will they accept the thicker wire?

A: Hi there, thank you for your inquiry! The quick connect will not accept 12 gauge wiring, they can be removed and you can use wire nuts the only issue that that with the wire nuts and a thicker wire it may not all fit in the junction box.

A: Yes, the connectors will accept 12 AWG wire. I used it on all my ceiling installs and have not had a problem. I would recommend you use needle nose plier to help insert the wire in the connectors, but the larger wire is held very securely.
