Dynaflex Ultra is designed, tested, labeled, and marketed for use as a window, door, siding, trim, and molding sealant. It is not designed, tested, labeled, marketed, or recommended for use as a kitchen and bath sealant. For kitchen and bath applications, we would recommend the use of more specialized kitchen and bath products, such as: KWIK SEAL ULTRA, AMP Advanced Modified Polymer Waterproof Kitchen, Bath and Plumbing Sealant or Silicone Max 100% Premium Kitchen and Bath Silicone Sealant. Please note that none of the kitchen and bath formulations are available in the color black. Additionally, it is not designed or recommended for use as a substitute for traditional ceramic tile grout (between wall and/or floor tiles). A:  Thank you for posting your inquiry. While DAP DYNAFLEX ULTRA is colorfast/UV resistant formula, it is possible for a color shift to occur over time. DYNAFLEX ULTRA can be applied directly to most properly prepared surfaces, however priming/paint prior to the application of the sealant will typically improve adhesion. While paint application is not required, it will offer the sealant additional protection from environmental exposure.
