How or Can you fit this 3/8 in. Radius Rounding Over bit into a Makita XTR01Z router? (The 1/4 shank fits but the base plate opening is smaller in diameter.)

Answer This Question

If the base plate on the router is smaller the the cutting dia. of the bit it will not work. It would destroy the base plate. Maybe the base plate could be removed. Good luck. Thomas

Hi Dallasdoofus, Thank you for your question. You will need to remove the plastic cover in order to remove the bit. Hope this helps.

With scissors, cut the end and only one side of the seam, then open it like a clam shell. Doing it this way you can reuse the packaging for storing the bit.
