Q:I put on this diablo dado blade set onto my Dewalt 10-inTable Saw Model #DWE7491RS. The arbor nut and washer fell off twice now. I read the instructions and watched at least 3 videos on installing dado blades. What is going wrong? This is a safety issue

A: I do not use the washer try that. If that does not work then do use less shims. And just make multiple passes to reach the with you want.

A: The small job site saws have a relatively short arbor. You may be trying to put on more blades than the saw can handle.

A: Thank you for your question! We recommend contacting the tool OEM, as this should not be a function of the dado, itself.

A: Your table saw is compatible with dado blade stacks. I have a 10in Dewalt table saw and I havent had this issue. Does the nut have enough thread to tighten? If not you can remove the washer and just use the nut, but it really doesn't need much thread to tighten firmly. The only thing I can think of is you aren't tightening it enough. It's hard to say forsure what's going on with out pictures.

A: Hello Bob! Yes, it should be compatible but please always verify with the tool manual.
by|Nov 20, 2021
A: No, it doesn't fit and DeWalt recommends against using any stacked blades with the 7845. I read the answer below from the DiabloProductExpert and bought the Diablo stacked blades and they do not work on the DeWalt 7845 -- the previous answer is wrong.

A: Yes, the arbor on the Craftsman table saws is sufficiently long to handle the thickness of the the stacked dado. If you don’t already have one, you will need to also purchase a dado insert.

Answer This Question
A: It depends on which model number it is.
The R4514 can NOT use this set .. at least it's not recommended. In the manual it says "This saw is designed for use with a 6 in. stack dado (up to width of 3/4 in.). Do not use an adjustable dado on this saw."
I keep seeing answers from "pros" that say any table saw with a 5/8" arbor can use a dado stack - they are giving incorrect and possibly dangerous answers.
My DeWalt DW745 had a 5/8" arbor but could not use any type of dado.
I would suggest pulling out the manual or search for the manual online using the model number from the saw. That will give you a correct answer.
If the answer is yes, you will also need a dado throat plate.

A: It will work on any saw with a 5/8 arbor which is pretty much any modern saw.

A: Measure the arbor on your saw. I've answered this question a few times, and the answer applies to many saws. When you put the entire dado together it is more than an inch wide on the arbor. Most new arbors are not long enough, or the 5/8 inch part is not long enough. They are 5/8th" where a single blade fits, and then they taper to a smaller threaded area. If the threaded area is 5/8, or the arbor is long enough, you can use this dado. I use mine on a 50 year old radial arm saw. I cannot use it on my newer saws.
