A:  The heater element is broken, that's why it click because the heating element expand as it get hot and open the circuit. After it cools down the heating element get together again and start heating again. Need to replace the heating section of the Heat/Fan /Light.

A:  The product description says "Heater included with built in thermostat to regulate temperature". You will have to leave the heater on for a while longer to see if it starts heating again. If the room doesn't get warm, there could be a defect.

A:  If you mean can it be installed where there is insulation in the attic, yes, mine replaced a ceiling exhaust fan in my bathroom. I have a single story so the exhaust duct is in the attic. You will need to make sure it's on a separate breaker.
