A: I cannot say it will fit a specific faucet model but I believe it is pretty universal for Delta faucets - especially older models such as mine - now 20 years old.

Q:I feel like a moron but I am having no luck placing these indicators into the hole. I have cleaned out the area and the size is correct. Anyone have any tips on how to get these hot/cold indicators to stay in place? Thank you for any help one can offer.

A: Hi, doc!
Thank you for your question. There are different sizes of red/blue buttons that fit different faucets. We recommend to call our Delta customer service line at 1(800)345-3358 so that we can assist you further with which button you need for your faucet.

A: No luck here either. I think the angle of the tab is wrong. Different length set screws didn't help either.
Maybe cut the tab off of the back and use some kind of adhesive to hold it in place.
Unfortunate , for the cost of this special tab.

A: Three quick thoughts: [1] Assuming your faucet's retaining hole is curved or angled (i.e.: offset to the direction of screw-travel) is your Allen screw factory-spec, with correct hex-size and overall length? If not, this button could bottom-out before it's fully seated. [2] I'm more familiar with Delta's 'Hot/Cold' button that's designed for purely vertical screw-hole surfaces. On those, the 'plug' section is a 'split' design with two flexible plastic vanes separated by a large (approx. 3/16" wide) vertical space, in-between. Here, the 'plug' section is of cylindrical design. I'm not sure if this is an intentional variation of the two button-types -- 'angled' (as here) or not -- or if the item depicted here is just an aftermarket replacement.

A: Don't feel bad. It doesn't work. Does not snap in like you think it would. I gave up.
