Q:If nailed to a wood 3 rail fence (the front yard) & placed on metal gate & metal post the other 3 sides of 2 acres; will it hold a large dog & 2 medium dogs? They are not jumpers, chewers or climbers as of yet but they've always ran free in deep country side. They are all 7 years old but like to chase mail trucks. (herding dogs) Im afraid they'll get ran over. Need a good containment or discouraging fence to stop them. Thanks for any info or advise.

A:  Bought this fence specifically to keep our large dog (95lbs) from going under the deck. Easily fastened it with a pneumatic stapler. We can see where he’s tested the fence with his muddy snout and paws, unsuccessfully. We’re good to go.

A:  as long as it is secured tight an animal is not getting through this fence. just make sure it is stapled securely to the fence and tight to the ground.

A:  I would not recommend it as a safety fence. It's not that strong and the wire might have sharp edges.

A:  The fence should be fine for this

A:  yes, as long as you use sturdy posts to attach it to.

                by|May 28, 2020

A:  I would not recommend for this application, too flexible and little kids could possibly get their small limbs entangled in the mesh.

A:  Before you buy any of this, check your local codes find specific local requirements for pool fencing. Your homeowners insurance company may have guidance too. I'm used to seeing properly-installed chain-link fence with cross-posts for this duty.

A:  I would estimate at least five or more years. I have had it outside for two years and no sign of deterioration despite hot, sometimes dry, sometimes wet summers, freezing and icy winters..

A:  It is sturdy enough if your kids don't try to climb on it. If they climb it, it will bend and bow. It is a wire fence.

A:  The PVC coated fencing supplies a fix to a chain link fence after a storm downed a 100+ foot oak took down a corner section. The fencing has provided a barrier to keep wildlife out and my dog Lydia in. Lydia has a history of cheerful but exasperating escapes, for which this short-term repair has been more than sufficient. To the Everbilt's usefulness with children, I cannot speak.

A:  Are you planning to corral infants? It would probably be OK for that, so long as they don't climb. bigger kids that can climb, not a great option. The fence itself is wire and isn't strong enough to climb on, so the real question will be around how you plan to hold it up. Would be good to keep a small dog. -- -- We use it to keep the wild animals (deer, specifically) out of our vegetable gardens. The fence wire is supported on 6' T-posts, those green metal posts you drive into the ground. Fencing is fastened to the posts using the formed wire loops sold right by the T-posts in the store. Post spacing is maybe 4' maximum but typically less. If you are planning to fence an area bigger than a patio area, you'll be placing a lot of posts and twisting a lot of wire loops. You'll also need to come up with a gate of some sort, assuming you want to let the kids come out someday. Hope this helps! Bob

A:  It's sturdy enough to support a deer crawling over it and after several years of use nothing has gone through it. Sturdy enough also depends on the distance between poles, how strong the support poles are in the ground, and how secure the fence is tied to the posts. However, if your kids run around with side cutters in their back pocket then they're as good as gone. I have 6 - 10 feet between posts in the fencing around three garden areas and install it around individual plan areas too - as soon as the critters start munching on the leaves. Works great but go the tallest you can get for deer prevention.
