    A:  The distance between wall flange and cap is about 7", so no deeper than 7".

      A:  The idea / design is that the shelf is supposed to sit on the pipe. Usually it is held in place with just the weight of the shelf and anything that is might be on it.

        A:  The shelf just rests across the pipes. I used these with wood to hold liquor bottles and they are doing great!

            A:  The length of the pipe plus the head cap is 8”.

              A:  overall is 8". each one is slightly different so order these then measure. We ended up cutting our wood just shy of 7".

                A:  All the pieces of the bracket are fixed, they do not come apart.
