    Answer This Question

A:  one coat is good enough, Wait at least a year for the next coat.

    by|Mar 30, 2024

A:  Two coats on an unsealed surface is usually sufficient. Best to apply later in the day when the sun is heading for the horizon. Space out your coats by 24 hours (or more).

    by|Mar 10, 2020

    A:  1 coat

    by|Jan 31, 2023

A:  I applied 2 coats, waiting 24 hours between coats. I think more than 2 coats may cause a build up of too much acrylic.

Q:Can you use this product to seal a painted concrete surface?
        by|May 9, 2019

        Answer This Question

A:  No, you can't use this product to seal a painted concrete surface

        by|May 23, 2020

A:  The AX25 should not be applied over a painted surface. The existing paint could cause a bonding issue or the paint may degrade from the AX25.

          by|Mar 10, 2020

A:  No. The surface needs to be porous.

            Answer This Question

A:  I do not know for sure, but I think the surface to which it is applied needs to be porous masonry.

            by|May 28, 2019

A:  No, it won't work for residential tile and grout since it is used with concrete, brick, masonry, and stone.

                    Answer This Question

A:  I poured this on a new section of concrete and it has not been slippery. Adding sand should not affect the sealing quality.

A:  Yes, it may make the surface a bit slippery. But you can add a small amount of sand.

A:  The AX25 could make a smooth surface feel slippery when wet. On a rough/broom finished concrete surface, you may not notice a difference. Foundation Armor also offers fine and coarse grit non-slip additives.

A:  The AX25 should not be applied to natural stone. It should only be applied to concrete/cementitious surfaces. The AX25 does give a wet look enhancement.

A:  Clean, dry and unsealed is great for the application of the AX25. Dawn dishsoap, a bristle brush and garden hose (or pressure washer) are sufficient. If the pavers are stained from mildew consider water and Clorox bleach. Rinse the surface well and let it dry for several days prior to applying the AX25.

A:  I would pressure wash surface before applying sealer.

A:  The AX25 is a copolymer (siloxane mixed with acrylic) but it's not a cure and seal. The Armor LV25 is a solvent/acrylic cure and seal blended with styrene. The AX25 is breathable even though it's not blended with styrene.

A:  The AX25 can be applied over acetone dyes and acid stains. If you color product leaves the concrete porous, it will allow the AX25 to absorb and bond. Some stains are actually a coating that could cause a bonding issue or be attacked by the solvent in the AX25.
