A:  Hi Micheyk- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing! An 1/8" air clearance is recommended each side. This would allow for a 90 degree door opening. The interior drawers can be accessed with the door(s) at 90 degrees, but cannot be removed unless the doors are fully opened. You can also view the Installation Instructions at the following link: file:///C:/Users/214013018/AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows/INetCache/IE/QFIAZVJE/665fdf68-0a8a-4cdb-a457-167d85307dc4.pdf - Thanks for checking with us!

A:  Hello Kat, I am happy to help. The interior drawers can be accessed with the door(s) at 90 degrees, most product specifications list the Width w/Door Open 90 Degrees. Additional clearance may be needed: •to remove the drawers •to open the door(s) if the adjacent wall or cabinets are deeper than the refrigerator case depth (depth w/o doors) Below are the suggested clearances, note the clearances are measured from the side of the refrigerator. ~◦17", on both the fresh food and freezer side. Thank you for checking with us.

A:  Hi Cat- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for choosing GE PROFILE™ SERIES PYE22PSKSS! We are happy to provide assistance. Make sure the water filter is installed. The dispenser and icemaker will not operate without either the filter or bypass plug installed. The bypass plug is installed in the same way as a filter cartridge. For reference, see page 16 of the Owner's Manual: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60748-3.pdf - Also, air may be trapped in the water system. Press the dispenser arm for at least 5 minutes. If the doors were removed during installation, be sure that the door wiring harness is plugged in. Refer to your Owner's Manual/Installation Instructions for the specific location of the wiring harness. Make sure the water line to refrigerator is turned on. The saddle valve is used to connect the water supply line to the house plumbing and must be fully open for the refrigerator to receive water. If you need further assistance, we encourage you to contact GE Appliance Service at 1-800-432-2737 or conveniently schedule an appointment online at GEAppliances.com. We hope this is helpful. Answer This Question

A:  Hi John- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are sorry to hear of the difficulty and glad to help. To remove, pull the brewer straight out until it clears the tracks (rails) on the bottom of the control panel. We recommend removing the brewer at the same time as the cup so that you can hold the brewer over the cup (upright or sideways) while transporting it to dispose of the pod. This helps catch any drips before and during removal. If you prefer, you can also hold a paper towel or cloth under the brewer when you are carrying it to empty the pod. If you need further assistance, we encourage you to contact GE Consumer Service at 1-800-432-2737or conveniently schedule an appointment online at GEAppliances.com. Thanks for reaching out to us!

Q:Is this a Keurig 2.0 compatible with the reusable Keurig pods?

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi Coffee, I am happy to help. On refrigerators with the Keurig® K-Cup Brewing System, the Single Use brewer is designed to accept K-Cup coffee, tea, cider, and hot cocoa pods. It will not supply cold water nor work with cold water K-cups. We recommend Keurig/Green Mountain K-Cups because of their quality and performance. You can also use K-Cups with the black circle logo "Keurig" or "Keurig Brewed" on the packaging or pod. These cups/pods have been authorized by Keurig®, and the emblem is found on a variety of different brands (not just Keurig brands). The brewer will not accomodate the Keurig "My K-Cup" adapter that allows your to brew coffee without using a K-Cup, though some generic versions of the adapter will work. Since the refrigerator brewer does not have a reader, in general it will allow use with: Keurig 2.0 pods Reusable cups designed to work like the original K-Cup Single use pods without the black "Keurig Brewed" emblem (generic pods) Use caution when using non-Keurig/Keurig Brewed K-Cups, as they are more prone to clogging the brewer or may not work at all. In fact, some non-Keurig pods have a dome shaped bottom that is difficult to pierce. If you choose to use a reusable K-Cup, make sure the lid is no wider than the top of a standard K-Cup (2"). I hope this helps. Thank you for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.

A:  No. First heat takes less than 5 minutes, each additional takes less (second cup probably takes less than 2 minutes). That said, I probably wouldn't want to do a whole family, routinely on k-cups of any type.

A:  Hi Viki, I am happy to help. The water in the tank can take up to 5 minutes to heat once hot water is required. When heating is completed, the “Hot Water Ready” screen will appear and the red light around the hot water knob will glow. Once water is dispensed through the brewer, cold water enters the tank and mixes with the remaining hot water. If you need hot water to brew a second cup, the heating time will be less since the water in the tank is warmer. Thank you for checking with us. Lisa from GE Appliances.

A:  No, it only takes awhile to initially warm the water. You are able to brew another cup about 30 seconds after you are finished with a previous brew.

                          Answer This Question

A:  Hi RefrigQues- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! If doors can't open at least 90 degrees because of an obstruction or wall, the drawers can be fully accessed but cannot be removed (fully open is 150 degrees). While the lower shelf on the right hand side can be removed, the liner does protrude on the side. Additional clearance (17") may be needed to open the door(s) if an adjacent wall or cabinet is deeper than the refrigerator case depth (depth w/o doors). On this model, the Case Depth Without Door is 24 3/8 in. Thanks for checking with us!
