A:  Yes. The canopy is held on with two large knobs. They can be unscrewed and the canopy can then be removed from the frame. Or you can leave the frame intact and take the whole canopy assembly off for the winter if you have room. I hope this helps.

A:  No, just a couple of bolts with plastic knobs to turn then lift off the whole assembly. I stored it in the garage over the winter. Does take up a fair amount of room. I suspended it from my garage door tracks.

I have high winds myself and haven’t had to worry about taking it off, but if you want to be on the safe side, the cover is just a slip with Velcro strips to wrap around the bars and there are slugs inside of it for the two side pieces of the cover frame. Very easy. Just loosen the screws, undo the velcro and slip it off the frame.
