Q:Can the lazy suan be removed easily in order to access a panel behind the cabinet?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Pam - As the lazy-susan assembly does come factory assembled within the product, we would not recommend that it can be removed easily to access a panel behind the cabinet.

Q:Happy this has flat sides instead of rounded, like a similar product sold by your competetor. Description states that CLEATS must be installed in the corners to install countertop. I am planning to do this as a DIY project since I just have to rip out old cabs&put in new (with the help of a plumber&electrician to do what I'm absolutely incompetent to do). Anyway, I'm not sure what "cleats" are. What are they, and are they obvious to install? I haven't yet put this in muy shopping cart so maybe when I do I'll see this as a "buy also" but as of now I don't know what you mean. Why can't this just be screwed to studs in the wall like other base cabs?

A: Thank you for your interest in our Hampton Bay Cabinets. A cleat is a strip of material such as a 2 x4 that is used to build out the void space of the corner. I would recommend that you seek out the assistance of a Kitchen Designer or Installer at your local Home Depot as they can assist you with your space and installation needs.

Q:can this piece have shelves in stead of lazy suesan?

Answer This Question
A: It comes with the wire spinning lazy Susan racks, but if you were to make shelves it should work. That all depends on your handiness though.
by|May 5, 2023
A: This piece is not meant for shelves. It has two round roving shelves for the Susan. If this is not for you try a blind cabinet with shelves.

Q:So does this cabinet base take up the 36 x 36 space needed or does it only take up the 28.5 in that it measures?

Answer This Question
A: When you put this cabinet into a corner the front end of the cabinet needs to be flush with the cabinets right next to it, so what it means is when you put this cabinet down to the corner( imagine that you are looking from top to the floor-bird eye) there’s going to be like at least 5 to 6 inches of empty openings in both sides in back between corner cabinet and the walls.. once you put countertop on top of the corner cabinet, it covers the that back openning. So to answer your question cabinet itself doesn’t take up all that space but you HAVE to leave that opening in the back, at the end you are technically using all that space 36x36 or whatever the cabinet size using .

A: I would imagine it can. Might want to put some kind of panel on it to make it look good. It also isn’t the same depth as a normal lower cabinet so there will be a large gap behind it.

A: I see no reason why not. Great cabinet, a little difficult to adjust the door.
by|Feb 25, 2021
A: Yes it can but you will need a end panel. I think they call it a dishwasher end panel and it will finish the outside of the cabinet. You can see it in the pics but I did add a filler to make more counter space but you can mount it right up next to the corner cabinet if needed
