Q:It doesn't work as described, we put LED bulb and light just flicking like disco or it does not work at all. Is there a special bulb for that?

A: This fixture only works with incandescent bulbs. I was surprised, too; I had seen "incandescent" in the description, but didn't realize that was exclusive of more energy efficient alternatives.

Q:Does this model operate with a dual brite function? The product description and specifications do not say it does, but the model number and downloadable instructions seem to indicate it is a dual brite. This function is
important to me, and I hesitate to order without being sure.

Q:Are these DualBrite? The maufacutur says they are for this model # but Home Depot website does not say it is.

A: Yes, they can be configured to turn on at dusk in the dim mode. They go to full brightness when movement is detected, then back to dim according to the timer you set.
by|May 4, 2020
A: No, they are completely off until they detect motion and then stay on full bright for 3 to 5 minutes.

Q:Why does HZ recommend an incandescent light bulb? That really defeats trying to be energy efficient. I really prefer LED but people have stated that they keep replace those.

A: I have had the same experience. Even using dimmable LEDS, the bulbs seemed to fail in a matter of a month or two. The hard part was finding incandescent bulbs! HD doesn't even carry them anymore.

A: LED works fine, and last a long time. It's been over a year and a half for me on the same LED bulbs. Just make sure you get the dimmable LED bulbs. The non-dimmable bulbs will not survive the constant voltage change of switching between energy saving mode and motion activation.
