Our recommended bulb wattage for this light is a 60W bulb - this is also this fixture's maximum wattage capacity. A:  It is most definitely a dual brite fixture. We use ours in that configuration and have had this lamp for over a year now. Still functioning great.

A:  Yes, they can be configured to turn on at dusk in the dim mode. They go to full brightness when movement is detected, then back to dim according to the timer you set.

A:  No, they are completely off until they detect motion and then stay on full bright for 3 to 5 minutes.

A:  I have had the same experience. Even using dimmable LEDS, the bulbs seemed to fail in a matter of a month or two. The hard part was finding incandescent bulbs! HD doesn't even carry them anymore.

A:  LED works fine, and last a long time. It's been over a year and a half for me on the same LED bulbs. Just make sure you get the dimmable LED bulbs. The non-dimmable bulbs will not survive the constant voltage change of switching between energy saving mode and motion activation.

A:  Hello Shelly, I measured the bottom of my installed fixture and it is a square base that is 4 inches on each side.

A:  The base diameter of this fixture is approximately 3.5 inches.
