Q:Does the patch area have to be saw cut? I was going to bush down the area following a crack on one side and a vertical curb on the other. What would the consequences be by not sawcutting?

A: If the concrete substrate is not cut to a depth of ¼” around the patched area, the risk of disbanding along the edges is relatively high!

A: I used Henry PatchPro to patch a large cement pond. I have tried other products and they all failed. It's only been a couple of years so far, but Henry PatchPro has held up extremely well. No issues in a tough environment. It’s the best product of its type that I’ve found for thin layer applications.

Answer This Question
A: No, sorry, you can not use this product on limestone.
by|May 23, 2022
A: I would think that it would do fairly good job depending on how much material in the limestone the patching material has to bond to. It's held up better on my concert pond then any other product I've found.

Q:Can I use this to repair cracks of up to 1/8 inch thick I a basement?

Answer This Question
A: Hi Jonathan-Yes, but the crack will probably reappear. Any place that the crack is thinner than 1/8”, the sand in 615 will not probably not penetrate into the crack. I don’t think the customer would be happy with the results. Henry 345 may be your best option.

HENRY® 615 PatchPro™ is a trowel-grade, cementitious topping for filling and repairing areas of indoor and outdoor concrete on all grade levels. Engineered with Portland cement and select high-performance polymers, HENRY 615 readily bonds to concrete surfaces. It is easy to apply, hardens quickly, is freeze-thaw resistant, and produces a surface finish that is suitable for foot and rubber tire traffic. When mixed with water, the result is a creamy, smooth, consistency that can be applied by trowel or screed. Use HENRY 615 to fill spalls, gouges, dormant cracks, “birdbaths” and other low areas in existing concrete surfaces, including sidewalks, patios, plazas, courtyards, walkways, driveways, parking garages, pool decks and vertical concrete substrates. HENRY 615 can also be used to re-form concrete steps and curbs, create ramps over existing concrete, or to resurface vertical concrete substrates. Once applied and allowed to dry properly, HENRY® 625 RestorePro™ Concrete Resurfacer, HENRY® 625F RestorePro™ Concrete Resurfacer Fine or HENRY® 635 SealPro™ High Performance Concrete Sealer can be installed over the patched area, as well as over adjacent concrete to create a uniform appearance.
