A:  The T5+ includes a “C-Wire Power Adapter” This power is required for full functionality. My home had C-wire power so the adapter was not needed. If in doubt, buy the T5+ and you’ll have it just in case you need it.

A:  Hi HB, the T5+ and T5 thermostats are the same thermostat, the T5+ includes the C wire adapter while the T5 includes only the thermostat.

A:  As my system is not a Carrier system, I am unable to answer accurately, but would guess it would work fine. Also, there is the ability to check system compatibility on the Honeywell website.

A:  Yes, I installed a T-5+ at my Mom's, who has Central air and oil fired baseboard heat...easy peasy lemon squeezy!

A:  No experience with an oil furnace. May I recommend consulting an professional A/C company to address this? Fortunately our Heat Pump A/C unit already had 7 wires so no need for the adapter.

A:  Hi there, thanks for your question. If you have a heat pump, the Honeywell Home T5+ can't control your backup sources of heat (the wires connected to E and W2).
