Typically we like to start our seeds in a seed starting kit 6-8 weeks away from our last average frost date. You can search your county, state for your area's last average frost date. You can also start seeds 1-3 weeks from last average frost date, to get a jump on germination with direct sow seeds for example. Then you will have earlier blooms and/or harvest.
