Answer This Question
A: Hello. The Kidde P3010K-CO is a 10-year, sealed battery, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm that features photoelectric and electrochemical sensing technology with Smart Hush feature. This combination alarm combines the detection capabilities of a photoelectric sensor with that of an electrochemical sensor, which is used to detect CO. When either sensor notices a potential hazard, it will communicate with the other. Depending on what is detected, the alarm will adjust its smoke sensitivity in order to better discriminate between a real hazard and a false one. Depending on what is detected, the alarm will adjust its smoke sensitivity in order to better discriminate between a real hazard and a false one. This constant communication enhances the alarm’s overall performance and significantly reduces the potential for a nuisance alarm.

Answer This Question
A: Hello. This unit has a photoelectric sensor that uses light to detect smoke and is less likely to be affected by steam, heat, and humidity although enough steam directly into the alarm or enough moisture to condense in the alarm will set it off. Q:Where should hang dis one close to the kitchen r wut ?
by|Aug 23, 2023
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Actually, no, not if it is your only alarm. We recommend that smoke alarms go in the immediate area of the sleeping rooms or bedrooms or any rooms where anyone sleeps. We recommend monitoring the exit path from the sleeping rooms to outside. Additional alarms can be put in the sleeping rooms themselves. We recommend at least one alarm on every floor level. If you only have one alarm, it should go near the bedrooms.
