A:  Sorry but I don't know that answer. I have spilled some water on the sheets and used a towel to blot it up and the water didn't seem to go thru the cover. ( I wouldn't intentionally keep it outside to protect from rain. ) Mainly I want to continue to keep the 15+ year old queen size mattress clean and stain free.
