A: I looked it up and it is about the same. It repels chemicals better than just plastic. A lot of technical wording I don't understand. I love this sink because I can bathe my little dog easier without bending over the tub. Have a Great day!

A: Polypropylene is a durable plastic. So it's a fancy name for a tougher plastic. It's resistant to chemicals, stress and cracks. I'm happy with the laundry tub I bought.

A: Plastic is a general term for material like the word wood. Wood can be Maple, Oak, Birch etc. Polypropylene is a type of plastic that is chemical resistant, good in high and low temperatures, impact resistant etc. We have molded polypropylene laundry tubs since 1965. Our history speaks for itself

Q:I have an existing sink and cabinet. The sink is shot. The cabinet's outside dimensions are 20 3/4" deep, 17 3/4" wide. Would this be a possible drop in for my cabinet?

Answer This Question
A: The top edge is 23.75 inches deep. Under the lip it is only 19.375 deep, so it might squeeze in. Measure your inside cabinet dimensions to confirm. But you would need space to run water lines for the faucet behind the cabinet. In other words, your cabinet would need to be nearly 4 inches from the wall.

A: Cutout dimensions are App. 23 X17

A: First of all, I think you need to give the INSIDE dimensions of your cabinet in order to know it this tub will fit. That said, since the tub is 23 3/4" deep, it's going to protrude anyway...

A: There could be a problem with with the faucet hook up.

A: The dimensions of the tank itself are 19 1/4 x 15 3/4. The overall dimensions are 24 x 18. So, although the tank would probably fit in the cabinet, there were be a big overhang around the smaller cabinet. I don't think it would work for what you're looking for.

Q:Dave says that this tub cannot be inserted into an existing countertop, but does not say why. Is the lip of the tub not strong enough to support its weight? or is there some other problem?

Answer This Question
A: The tub was designed to be freestanding.

A: I wouldn’t install this in a countertop if you were going to fill it. For example, my HVAC system is the only water that enters my sink other than dumping my mop water. The lip is plastic and isn’t meant to hold weight.

A: You will need an inch and half tailpiece. Be sure to get the female threaded tailpiece not the slip joint type. This tailpiece threads onto the male threads on the bottom of the sink. In addition, you will need a P-trap and appropriate connections to your drain.

A: The Exterior Actual Tup Measurements are: 15 1/2" Deep and 18 1/2" Wide - if you Include the Lip at the top of the Tub, it is 24" Wide.
The Interior Tup Measurements are: 13" Deep and 19" Wide because the tub widens at the Top.

Answer This Question
A: Measurements below bottom edge of tub: Height from floor: 19 inches
Distances between legs (inside): Bottom 11.5" x 15"; Top 7.5" x 11"
With the measurement info I hope you can figure out if your bucket will fit.

A: Depends on how tall / wide your bucket is. I would think not, unless the bucket has a top (opening) that's narrower than the base, which usually would not be the case.

A: 18 x 24 the same dimensions as the tub -- notice in the pic it is pretty much a straight tub. I would give a few inches of wiggle space though.

A: The leg width is basically the same as the basin width and depth minus about 3" average per leg. The legs taper, but they are the same depth and width as the basin if you notice in the picture.
