A: Thank you for your question on the XMT03Z oscillating tool. This tool is considered a multitool which was engineered with additional features like reduced vibration and lower noise for improved performance, and is ideal for cutting, sanding, scraping, grout removal, and more.

A: Yes, it cuts like butter. This is the best all around tool cutting drywall, metal, wood and anything that you choose to cut.
by|Dec 2, 2022
A: You can definitely use it on drywall. I have used it to cut some small access points in my drywall. It would be a bit tedious to try to cut drywall for long stretches but could be used for that.
I originally purchased mine for tile grout removal using a grout blade. It worked fantastically removing the grout leaving the tiles intact for me to selectively remove. I also used it to remove the bottom 1/2” of my wooden baseboard trim. That was very effective but tedious. It’s a great tool to cut things that are difficult to cut any other way.

Answer This Question
A: I bought the router. the BL1815 battery does NOT fit. Something prevents it from installing. I will get a new set of batteries and a charger. Also, the price at the Home Depot web site was $159. Paid $179 in the Frazer PA HD.

A: Yes it will, however the run time will be very short. The BL1815 is a small 1.5 amp battery, it would be OK for edge trimming or other light work. Makita has discontinued the BL1815 battery.

Q:Can this saw take a 9 or 12 inch blade?
by|Nov 18, 2022

Answer This Question
A: yes if you can find one
by|Dec 24, 2022
A: Yes it can..... but mine died not even 4days after purchased. There's a design flaw in the saw that I wish I had seen before purchasing. A very disappointing flaw at that. Right where the blade attaches there are two small screws that hold the blade receiver to the reciprocating shaft. Not something you would normally see on any of Makita's products. And as a result of such it shared through both bolts making the unit useless and now I've got to do the thing in order to get a replacement...

A: You can use any length blade with this!
