      Q:Can this product be used to go from a crawl space up through the first floor and into the second floor - the key is that this duct would be in an exterior wall (2 x 6). If so, would a 6" fit? Or would you only be able to use a 4"?

      A:  The Outside diameter of the 6" flexible duct is approximately 9 inches, this will not fit in a 2x4 wall. The 4" flexible duct has a outside diameter of approximately 7", this also will not fit in a 2x4 wall.

          Q:This will be an unusual question. We plan to use a 12" or 14" duct for return air. It will run through the attic. Because of lack of space can it be squeezed to go through a narrow opening between the evaporator unit and the wall.

            Q:Can this be used to go over a 6" ac exhaust flex hose or will the 6" one work. I need to insulate the part of the hose that is in the garage that goes to the attic so it does not transfer heat back to the room.

                A:  If your collar is 10" you use 10" duct. Collar measurement is O.D. the duct is I.D.

                    A:  The Master Flow 8 in. x 25 ft. Insulated Flexible Duct R6 Silver Jacket is designed to be used in standard Heating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and some venting applications. You can check the specifications of your system to see what is required.
