                      Answer This Question

A:  No, however this doesn't need one. This is a "versa Kap", or "versatile" cap with adjustable screws / nuts. It is a replacement cap for a Type B flue pipe. A Type B flue pipe connects to your hot water heater or a similar AC appliance that uses gas. Therefore it is a "closed" system & any flying insects don't really want to go in this anyhow.

A:  There is no screen included with the vent, but it would be relatively easy to add one given the way this vent clamps over the end of the vent pipe using the expandable base clamp visible in the product photo. Bend a piece of stainless steel screen over the end of the vent pipe, the slide the cap in place and tighten the clamp. Consider adding a sheet metal screw or two through the clamp band if this is being used in a particularly windy place (like on a roof).
