A:  I only have 2 also and it’s been working fine. I’m guessing they made be for bigger grills 4+ burners?

A:  No, the unused ports don’t matter so long as the igniter is the correct replacement module, it fits and works. Companies often use a common module with excess features vs a specific design to reduce manufacturing costs.

A:  Either look in the manual for your grill or look for part # on your old ignition switch you may need to take off by unscrewing the nut behind the push button

A:  I CANNOT fully answer your question unless I communicate directly with you. I personally have purchased and installed (stand alone as well as converted to "built-in" use) about a dozen NEXGRILL models. Several months ago I posted a similar response to be put on the Home Depot website. If Home Depot can/will forward my email address to you I will be more than happy to guide you through the "process" to know EXACTLY which Nexgrill "IGNITION MODULE" is suitable for your grill. GREFF
