      Q:Your product description states that this is the "19-6-12" Formula, but Scotts no longer manufactures that product. Is this product actually the "15-9-12" Osmocote Plus that is current with the product line from Scotts? I have searched all over the web for the descripted product, and have any only come up with the "classic" version that is no longer in production.

        Q:I recently purchase a Bonnie's All-star strawberry plant from home depot and I'm wondering if this will be safe to use on it and also, my orchid?

        A:  Definitely use it on strawberries. Orchids need 1/2-strength fertilizer, so either go very easy using Osmocote, or invest in a container of Shultz Orchid Food. Most orchids fail due to 'overly loving & attentive' care-givers.

        A:  The Osmocote Outdoor & Indoor Plant Food is a good choice for the strawberry plants. It is not the best plant for most orchids. It would be better to use a plant that is specifically made for orchids.

          A:  I read the Osmocote Plus label carefully about using this near food and animals and only saw a warning re: ruminant animals. As I live in a suburban area and don't have any ruminate animals nearby (!) I feel this product is safe around crops. I generally fertilize my outdoor orchids in the Fall so I'll have to wait until then to try Osmocote Plus with them, but I have great hopes.

          A:  Excellent for strawberry. The Osmocote Outdoor & Indoor Smart Release Plant Food is safe to use on all fruits & vegetables. But orchid use a different plant food, like (Miracle-Gro 8 oz. Water-Soluble Orchid Plant Food)
