A:  Yes, that is the correct size, and they matched the ones I was replacing. Picket fences are not as tall as most other fences. They're meant to be below eye-level.

A:  You can paint, stain or seal these. The fence should be cleaned with a product containing mildewcide before you apply a finish. The pressure treated stringers seem to be cedar-tone pine, so there may be coloring differences.
