I haven’t found it to get too hot. We have the light colored one and we’ve always been able to sit in it even in direct sun.

Hi Linda! Our furniture is made of HDPE plastic. The darker colors will get warmer to the touch than the lighter colors. However, they should not get so hot that they cannot be used. We do use a formula that prevents the furniture from absorbing the sun. Thanks for asking, Brooke

the height of the front of the seat to the floor is 17 inches then sloping to the back of the seat to the floor would be 13 1/2 inches .
