A:  The opening should be framed on at least 2 sides. The bracket is flanged so you can screw into the framing. 

A:  Measure the hole size square, check rafter spacing, cut hole. The z-bar will fit to each rafter side. No need to crawl in attic to install the framework.

A:  NO it is not a changeable bulb. You could just use the nightlight with the fan and wire the main light to a separate LED fixture.

A:  Obviously the cover is off. If the opening is the correct size, it’s just a matter of lining up the exhaust, connecting it, and securing the fan in place. The electrical connections not withstanding. 

A:  The instructions that I got with the unit were ok. You certainly don't have to take the fan apart in order to install it. I changed the way to support the fan such that it hangs from a wide wooden board that rests on the top of two joists in the attic. Then I bolted the board to the joists. This way I was able to position the fan bottom correctly with the bathroom ceiling.  

A:  You have to take it apart. Most all fans for (old work) require some type of disassembling. It easier this way so you don't hold the weight of the fans if working from below. I have installed 3 of these from above and 2 from below. They are good fans and you won't go wrong. There is 1 or 2 screws to disassemble the fan. It's simple. Home depot should really issue some discount codes for helping make these sales.

A:  You're not supposed to take it apart. It should've come with mounting bracket and screws which screw into a ceiling joist

A:  No. It's integral to the unit. Although, being an LED, it ought to last quite a long time in regular use. The LEDs can be switched separately from the fan, so you only need the light on when you want it on. Also, there's 2 leds inside, one for the main light, which has nice brightness, and also a night light that's just enough for night use.

A:  Not easily but I’m sure Panasonic has a replacement grille cover with lamp. Other than that it’s a great fan.

A:  Sorry, I didn't measure the light - it is approximately 4x4 - the drywall hole size was about 10.5" x 10.5", the plastic grill cover a little larger - say 11-1"/4" x 11-1/4", so proportionally, the LED lens as you can see from advertised photos is close to 1/3 the grill size. Lumen output is 700. Color temp is 3000K. Adequate for over the shower, not good enough, in my opinion for the only source of light in a bathroom. hope that helps.

A:  As long as it’s on a GFCI protected branch circuit it can be used over a tub/shower enclose.

A:  What does the Building Code say where you live? Call up the Permitting Dept and ask. Personally, I wouldn’t instantly it in a small shower enclosure - not because of safety issues, but because the exhaust fan elements are mostly made out of sheet metal and I’d be concerned about rust building up over years of use.
