A:  Hello! If the latex contains natural rubber, it could trap moisture underneath it. Rugs should be constructed of an absorbent fiber with a breathable, non-staining back. You can also use a rug pad under the rug. Check with the manufacturer of the rug pad you want to use to make sure it either does not contain rubber or states it is non-staining. A:  Hello! Yes, Particle board is fine if it is subfloor grade and properly glued and screwed to the existing subfloor and joists. We would suggest also using a 6mil polyethylene vapor barrier under the Pergo floor. Thank you for your Pergo inquiry. -Amy

A:  Hello! Outlast+ Arden Linen Hickory and Defense+ Antique Linen Hickory are the same decor paper, however the color will be slightly different due to the differences in the AC4 vs AC5 wear layer. The Antique Linen has the AC5 so when it moves to Arden Linen, an AC4, the color can change very slightly. They can be used in separate rooms if they are separated by a transition strip/threshold. A:  Hello! You cannot install cabinets on top of our Pergo floating laminate. Cabinets on top of a floating floor would inhibit the natural movement of the floor. Thank you for your Pergo inquiry- Pam

A:  Hello! The Pergo Outlast does have an attached pad. When installing on a concrete slab, you will need to use a vapor barrier. We recommend either using a 6mil poly vapor barrier or the Pergo Floormate which has the vapor barrier built in. When installing on a wood subfloor, you can lay the planks right down.
