Q:I like this product and have used almost ten tubes for the cracked cement walkway and chimney but the problem is that it does not MATCH the old cement/mortar because it is too grey. Does it come in clear (i.e. colorless)? I am thinking of using clear silicone but I prefer this if it comes CLEAR.

A: QUIKRETE® Polyurethane Non-Sag Sealant may be used between a copper pipe and brick wall. Make sure that the application surfaces are clean, sound, dry, frost free, unsealed/uncoated, and free of any dust, loose debris, oils, grease, and any other potential bond breakers. Please note that the maximum service temperature limit for this product is 175 oF. The fill depth should not be less than 1/4 inch deep and should not exceed 1/2 inch. The width of the joint should be at least 1/8 inch (ideally 1/4 inch). For best results, the ratio of joint width to joint depth should be 2 to 1. The use of QUIKRETE® Backer Rod (No. 6917) is recommended to help prevent three sided adhesion and reducing the depth to fill. Wear impervious gloves when applying polyurethane. The QUIKRETE® Polyurethane Non-Sag Sealant will not match the color of the brick or the pipe. We always recommend trialing the repair material in a small, inconspicuous area first and waiting 24 hours to ensure that the appearance, including color, is acceptable.

A: Yes. I have never had it mold. Very little odor. Takes a couple days to feel completely dry and not tacky.
by|May 29, 2020
A: Mold will grow on about anything. I hardly noticed a smell from it when I used it. I applied mine when temps were in the 50s and 60s, withn 24 hours it dried but was still a little soft and sticky. It took 3 days to fully harden.

A: Impossible to tell, since I could only get a little out of the tube before giving up. (The product is too thick to dispense.) I would not use this product.

A: The QUIKRETE® Polyurethane Non-Sag Sealant (No. 8660) is designed to be a long lasting product. The key to long-term sealant and adhesive performance is proper substrate preparation. The substrate must be clean, dry, frost free, sound and free of any oils, greases, or incompatible sealers, paints or coatings that may interfere with adhesion and good joint performance. The environment of the application will also have an affect on the long term durability of the product, extreme conditions will reduce the life expectancy of the product.
