A:  QUIKRETE Mortar Repair can be used to cosmetically fill brick holes in vertical surfaces. See package instructions for application guidelines.

A:  QUIKRETE® Mortar Repair sealant should not be used in areas regularly exposed to moisture. We recommend instead QUIKRETE® Advanced Polymer Concrete Crack Sealant, an all-weather high performance sealant.

A:  QUIKRETE® Mortar Repair can be used to cosmetically patch damaged mortar in brick steps.

A:  No, QUIKRETE® Mortar Repair Sealant is only suitable for cosmetically repairing masonry mortar joints. For your application, you will need a structural, load bearing material instead.

A:  QUIKRETE® Mortar Repair Sealant is not suitable for horizontal repairs, or areas prone to exposure to standing water.

A:  QUIKRETE® Mortar Repair can be used, but this is not a cementitious based product – it is not structural, nor is it as durable as standard cementitious masonry mortars. The joint must be sound, clean, dry, and free of any dust, dirt, loose debris, and any other potential bond breakers. When making repairs, getting a good color match can be difficult - we always recommend trialing a small quantity of the repair material in an inconspicuous area, and allowing it to cure for at least 24 hours to determine whether the color and overall appearance are acceptable under both wet and dry conditions before using the material in less discrete areas. For structural mortar repairs, you may consider QUIKRETE® Mortar Mix Type N (No. 1102).

A:  QUIKRETE Mortar Mix can cosmetically repair broken mortar, but it will not bear any load from bricks. We recommend using a conventional masonry mortar for your repair.

A:  QUIKRETE® Mortar Repair can be used to repair the exterior of an indoor fireplace, however it should not be used within the fire area. QUIKRETE® Mortar Repar becomes combustible at > 212oF.
