A: Yes and no. It is lifetime, but the warranty does have terms. Since this is an online-only item, you only have 30 days to process an IN-STORE return: after 30 days, Ridgid must be contacted for repair/replacement. The warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship. Obvious defects that are clearly visible at unboxing will of course be remedied. Internal defects can usually be identified within the first 30-day period, but many times people leave it in the box too long and miss their return window. The best practice is to actually use it the same way it will be utilized in the future - at least once during the return window. Parts, such as hoses and attachments are not covered by the warranty. If a hose or attachment breaks, replacements can be purchased. The warranty is not blanket coverage: it does not cover abuse or misuse. In most cases, when these things fail, it is because someone wasn't paying attention. You can hear when the motor is stressing unless you are wearing earbuds and listening to music. Running with a piched hose, sucking something up that clogs the hose and letting it run; not emptying the debris tank; running it with a clogged, dirty filter; using it as a wet vac with a dry-vac filter, etc: all these things can overheat the motor which voids the warranty. Ridgid is fair, but they also can tell when a tool is used improperly. My son uses this vac for his mobile detailing business: it is almost two years old now and still runs like the first day he took it out of the box.

A: Hello Tommy, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. The Beater Bar Vacuum Accessory and Carpet and Hard Floor Nozzle Accessory are both great in carpet and floor cleaning. The Beater Bar Vacuum Accessory has wiper blade that helps direct airflow. On the other hand, the Carpet and Hard Floor Nozzle Accessory comes with adjustment mechanism featured on the head of the attachment allowing for the ideal height for both carpet or hard surface floor cleaning. It also comes with large wheels that help maneuver and change directions when cleaning. Lastly, both accessories fits vacuums with a 2-1/2" or 1-1/4" diameter hose. Having said that, you will need the 1 – 7/8” to 1 – ¼” reducer from the VT1755 adapter kit to be able to use them with WD4080 vacuum hose. A: Product weight is listed as 18 lbs but that’s probably for the entire kit - I’d guess the vacuum itself to be about 12 lbs. haven’t weight it but it doesn’t feel like 18 lbs when I’m carrying it

A: Most people look for something to screw on/off. The Rigid filter simply pulls/presses off/on. Pretty slick really. https://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=rigid+shop+vac+%2C+how+to+replace+the+filter&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#kpvalbx=_OrtfZLy3OJTB7gKKjIDwAg_40
A: Hello John, Thanks for your inquiry about our product. To remove the filter, take the lid off the drum and turn it upside down. Hold the rubber tabs on top of the filter with both hands and put your thumb on the ball stud in the center. Lift up on the rubber tabs while pushing down on the stud and the filter will snap out. Slide the filter off the cage. To clean the filter, tap it on the inside of the drum or a trash can to knock any debris loose. You can also use a soft-bristled brush and sweep the particles off the pleats or use an air compressor or blower to blow out the debris. If you desire, the filter may also be washed. Run water through the filter from a hose or spigot making sure that the water pressure is not too strong as it may tear or damage the filter. Allow the filter to dry out before using it to pick up debris. Remember to check the filter for holes or tears as this may cause damage to the motor of your vac, and will void the warranty. If you notice any damage to your filter or want to optimize the performance of your vac, we recommend that you replace your filter. Carefully slide the new filter over the cage and press down on the outside edge of the filter until the rubber gasket on the bottom of the filter seats securely around the base of the filter cage and against the power head assembly. A: Hello Dbs1, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. The exact weight of the WD4070 is 17.4 lbs. And the WD4080 have a weight of 20.75 lbs. We do apologize for the confusion this have caused. However, the cannister plays a small part on the weight in of the vacuum. Most of the weight of the vacuum is counted on the motor of the vacuum.
