A: CA, thank you for your interest in the RYOBI 13 Amp Corded 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw. I am sorry, no. This is not a saw that is designed to cut pavers. Thank you for asking, If you have further questions and would like to speak with a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional, please call, 1-800-525-2579 M-F from 9am-6pm EST. Hope this helps! - Vini
A: I wouldn't. The plastic shield would crack really easy.
A: Yes only with the right blade.
A: Make sure you have the appropriate blade and several batteries to keep the power high.
A: I think you can do anything with the right blade, even cut weeds and grass
A: Lisa, thank you for your interest in the RYOBI 13 Amp Corded 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw. I am sorry, no. You should not use this product to cut a tree branch that is attached to a tree. This would be very dangerous. Thank you for asking, If you have further questions and would like to speak with a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional, please call, 1-800-525-2579 M-F from 9am-6pm EST. Hope this helps! - Vini
A: I would Not however you can
A: Only if the tree branch is 1-inch diameter or less and then you must be very careful (holding the saw against the tree branch). If tree branch is larger than 1-inch in diameter, then I would recommend a chain saw with 12" blade or 16" blade. There's a new contraption out now that is a chain saw with a long handle...permitting you to stand on the ground and cut a tree branch without having to climb a ladder. Sorry I've forgotten whose website I saw this on; however, I did consider for myself (I'm 77-years old) and need to cut a dead branch from a dogwood tree. Again, to get back to your immediate issue. I would not recommend using the circular saw for cutting tree branches unless the branches are very small...1-inch in diameter or less.
A: this would be a dangerous tool to use to cut tree branches, I would suggest a sawsall with a tree branch blade if you want to use a power tool and be somewhat safe.
A: It is very dangerous to cut tree limps with circular saw. The sap from the wood tends to grab the saw blade. You definitely don't want to use it in a tree. A saw zaw is much better suited for cutting limbs. Ryobi makes a cordless saw zaw. I use it on small branches.
A: Checking the operator's manual, go to pages 16-17(these are in the back of the manual, only 1 page from the back of the manual) you will find 2 pictures on page 16 the lower one shows the spindle lock just behind the blade shroud and to the front of the motor..
A: Sorry, I cannot answer your question. However, I do suggest you contact Ryobi directly for an answer. I pulled my Ryobi circular saw out of the box, plugged it into a electrical socket, and cut the wood I needed to cut for making a side table to be placed on my deck. So I've never needed to wonder/concern myself with a "spindle Lock". May I also suggest that in the future, when you have issues with any product, that you contact the manufacturer directly and have them address your issues...like the missing diagram/ owner's manual/etc. And then if the manufacturer cannot give you any satisfaction, then return the product and try another brand. That'll stop crooked manufacturers and their crooked/no working products.
A: Disgruntled, thank you for your interest in the RYOBI 13 Amp Corded 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw. You will find the diagrams at the end of the Owner's Manual starting on page 12 after the Spanish section. You will find the spindle lock labeled as letter K. It is located near the front, top of the saw and behind the handle. Thank you for asking, If you have further questions and would like to speak with a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional, please call, 1-800-525-2579 M-F from 9am-6pm EST. Hope this helps! - Vini
A: The spindle lock is pushed to facilitate changing the saw blade only after you unplug saw from power source. It is a black lever on the back side of safety shield for saw blade.
A: This is a good tool for a weekend carpenter!!!!
A: Maybe. It's powerful enough for all wood applications. So if you keep fresh batteries, it should do the job.Just be realistic. Most circular saws created for cutting concrete concrete are juge and require special blades.
A: OMG, thank you for your interest in the RYOBI 13 Amp Corded 7-1/4 in. Circular Saw. No, you should not use this to cut concrete, even if you have a diamond blade. This saw is not rated to handle a job like that. No circular saws are. There are specialized saws that do this kind of job. Thank you for asking, If you have further questions and would like to speak with a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional, please call, 1-800-525-2579 M-F from 9am-6pm EST. Hope this helps! - Vini
A: I would certainly think so, I have used mine to cut steel post, just use a blade that meets the job.
A: I doubt it. The plastic blade shield would break quickly too.
A: Sorry, I have never noticed sparks coming from my circular saw...probably because I'm wearing goggles and busy trying to keep the saw on the line I've drawn. Unable to say if this is normal or not. I suggest contacting Ryobi directly.
A: Mine does the same thing. I think they are more noticeable because of clear plastic safety shield.
A: I'm not sure. I don't look inside mine. If you're not sure, return it and get another one, just to be safe

A: With a fine tooth blade the Ryobi Corded 7 1/4 inch Circular Saw should work fine to cut lattice. Stabilize your lattice so it does not bend or move. If it is a thin lattice, I might use a jig saw.
A: Yes. Just use a fine tooth saw blade to prevent tearing of lattice.
A: Absolutely. Great saw.

A: Yes, you can use the Ryobi 13 AMP Circular Saw to cut pavers. You did not say how thick your pavers are. if they are especially thick you may need to cut from both sides. I have used my saw to cut concrete blocks and other such products.
A: I would definitely NOT recommend
A: I wouldn't ever! You need a water saw for that job.
A: Don't know if it will cut pavers as I only use it to cut wood. According to my booklet that came with this circular saw, this saw may be used for 1. "Cutting all types of wood products (lumber, plywood, paneling, composition board, and hard board) 2. Cross cutting/rip cutting wood products. 3. Bevel cutting wood products. 4. Pocket cutting wood products. There is no mention of using this saw to cut anything other than wood products. However, try contacting Ryobi. www.ryobitools.com OR One World Technologies, Inc.
