Questions and Answers for Schlage Left-Hand Lid Support Hinge

According to Schlage, these lid supports are, "For use on the lid of chests, boxes, cabinets, or anywhere a hold-open feature is desired". Depending on the shutter size and, therefore the weight, you can use this Support Hinge, but if the shutter is heavy or extra large, additional Hinge Support could be necessary. Adjust the load bearing capacity by tightening the screw along the channel. Thank you for asking, -Travis

A:  Hello slim, In most setups the pivoting mount point at the end of the track mounts to the door while the mount point on the track is secured to the inside cabinet/box/etc. I've attached an image below with the lid mount circled in green and the inside cabinet mount point circled in red.
