Q:What thickness spline should be used for pet resistant screening?

Answer This Question
A: I really depends on the specific screening name. Pet Screen is a very thick pvc coated polyester that would require a .125 to .140 spline but many other pvc coated screenings that are pet resistant but not marketed as pet screen could potentially use .140 to .160 spline.

A: Yes, the next size is .160 then .140. If .175 is too small with thicker screening , try the next size down.

Answer This Question
A: The only dimensions are 300ft x ,175. You will need to determine how many feet you will need to cover. Based on your 6ft x 4ft you would need 24ft per opening that size.

A: The spline is round. 0.175 is the diameter.

Q:What are the dimensions of this screen? I see it says 300 ft...? 300 ft of what? What is the width?

Answer This Question
A: This is screen spline only, not screening. This is a black rubber-like cord that holds the screening in the frame. you line the screening up near the edge of the frame, then use a splining tool to wedge the spline and screening into the frame to stretch the screening taut. You would need a length of spline for each edge of the screen frame.
the width of this spline is 0.175 inches. 300 feet of spline would do a lot of windows.

A: Tim, thanks for the inquiry. What you are referring to is a spline that is used to secure the screen. .175 is the width of the spline and 300ft is the length. Hope this helps.
