A: Yes, as long the appropriate electrical outlet is available.
A: No it's not water proof.
A: no.
A: No. Instructions say "Not for bathroom use." "Do not use in wet or damp locations."
A: Hello, I wouldn't recommend this fan for that application. I would look for a dedicated shower exhaust fan. I'm assuming you are venting to the outside and this fan is not appropriate for venting to the outside. If you have any further questions please call us at 800-999-3267 M-F 8-4:30 central time. A: Hello, On Low these are pretty quiet. The fan on low is moving 155 CFM. You should be able to hear the fan running, but it isn't obtrusive. Like most fan noise the sound fades to white noise after a while. Our TW208P is the quietest Thruwall fan though. On low this fan is moving 40 cfm and is very quiet. Please call us if you have any further questions. We can be reached at 800-999-3267. Thanks, Suncourt
A: very quiet. the Home Depot website is very clear. 55 dBa on high. normal conversation is 60 dBa, a lawnmower is 90 dBa. The TV would not be affected,
A: Ours is in our TV room, right behind the main chairs. You can notice the quiet hum, but it doesn't really bother us at all. We may turn up the the TV slightly, but it's not significant.
A: On low speed I can not even hear it run
A: I installed mine in the same room as my wood stove. It's about 7 feet away from it, and circulates the heat from that room into my kitchen pretty well.
A: Hello, Kind of a difficult question to answer. Good rule of thumb would be to keep the fan far enough away from the stove so the temperature max is around 100 degrees F. The fan housing is plastic, so keep that in mind. Right behind or above a wood stove could cause issues with the plastic. The motor is the limiting factor though. Motor is thermally protected and if exposed to higher heat the thermal fuse will open an kill the motor. If you would like to discuss your specific installation give us a call at 800-999-3267. Thanks, Suncourt
A: Hello, No, the Thruwall fans are not designed to work with your electrical grid. At this time I don't have any Thruwall fans that will work with your power grid. Thanks, Suncourt
A: No, USA uses 120 volt and 60 Hertz
A: Hello, No, I'm assuming the fan is exhausting to the outside and our fans are not designed to exhaust to the outside. The motor in the Thruwall fan is also not designed for exhausting grease and oil laden air. At this time we do not have a fan I can recommend for exhausting cooking air. Thanks, Suncourt
A: That's what I'm using it. I'll add a filter to minimize grease collection.
A: Hello, You are looking for a line voltage thermostat. They switch 120v and you would wire the thermostat to switch on/off the outlet that the Thruwall plugs into. You could also look at our Ductstat. It can be used in a room and switches 120v. The Ductstat is a differential thermostat which means it switches on/off based on the change in the ambient temperature around the Ductstat. It isn't a digital type thermostat. Where you set a specific temp. Please call us at 800-999-3267 M-F 8-4:30 central time to discuss this further. Thanks, Suncourt
A: the unit will turn off at different tempatures depending on how far you turn the knob, unfortunatly its is a guess at what that tempature is as.
A: Don't know the watts ... not very much I believe ... Mine runs in a room that reaches over 95 degrees and works fine. Plug and Play
A: Hello, Running watts for the TW108 are 85 watts. It does have a 10' cord and plugs into a regular 3 prong house outlet. Max airflow temperature is 140 degrees Fahrenheit. This fan should not be vented or installed to vent to the outside it is designed for inside conditioned air spaces. It is not appropriate for your generator box installation. Feel free to call us at 800-999-3267 if you have any questions. Thanks, Suncourt
A: CFM is Cubic Feet per Minute. This unit delivers 200 CFM.
A: It depends on which fan model you are referring to. The CFM for the model TW108 is 110 on high and 60 on low. The CFM on the TW208P is 100 on it's highest speed and 40 on its lowest speed.
A: Sheetrock is plenty for fan its pretty light weight
A: Yes it is. The typical installation is going through drywall. The fan comes with a mounting template, hardware, and detailed instructions.
A: Drywall is fine, just use wall anchors
A: it is very light, quiet, and does not cause much vibration at all. i have it installed directly on the sheetrock.
A: The air comes out the side where the switch and power cord are located.
A: dang....I just received this fan...we REALLY need it.... and it sucks in- as people say here...it does not BLOW out...which is what we needed.... what a hassle...I'll have to return it.....I'd run the switch to the other side of the unit if I didn't have to butcher it.... and or....what about REVERSING THE FAN blades.....does anybody know if that's possible?? that would save me....Paul
A: Hello, The air exhausts on the switch/power cord side. If your hand is on the switch or power cord and you are facing the fan the air will be blowing in your face. Thanks, Suncourt
A: This will blow towards the side of the switch.
