A:  You take out the old filter lay it on the fiber filter. Then take a razor knife or scissors (I prefer scissors as they are safer.) cut the new filter to the size of the old filter. Slide the new filter into the slot the old filter came out of and check for fit and seal around the edges. note engage the fan and watch to ensure the filter is rigid enough to prevent the air flow from pulling the filter into the opening. It can cause a dome to form and disrupt the seal around the edges allowing dust and contaminates to reach the A-Coil reducing air flow by getting the coil dirty. In my son's double wide i used coat hangers, the wire ones work best, as they are stiff and the wire is very slim and does not hurt the fit of the filter. If you do this keep check in it to be sure the filter doesn't bend the wire and cause the same problem discussed as it gets dirty.
