A:  The one I received had the aluminum painted shaft. I had the old version of this and this one is built to last for sure!

A:  Don't really know; these type items tend to change each season. Best thing to do is go visit a store and see; always several good selections.

A:  Yes , it would safe on the pavers , but with all the edges of the pavers , the shovel edge will probable wear out quicker than on concrete .

A:  We have used this in Very Heavy, Deep Snow. We have Cedar Wood porch and carport and Composite Wood deck. We are careful not to shovel down too deep so as not to scrape the woods - especially the Composite. We have no experience w pavers. It is the Best shovel we have ever owned. And we have had many.

A:  The nylon leading edge of the scoop won’t gouge your deck or catch on your brick patio. I have used this shovel for years and no problems. If one could go as far as loving a shovel, this would be the one.

A:  I don’t believe so. However the handles are very sturdy and I have not had any problem with them.

A:  I don’t know. But we have used this excellent shovel for several years up in the mountains with heavy snowfall and haven’t noticed any problems with the strip.

A:  No, the shovel is plastic. The one I bought only lasted through a couple of snows before breaking where the handle attaches. I loved the handle but would not personally buy this one again due to its disposable nature.

A:  As you can see, the handle and shovel are plastic, but the handle bar is metal. They do have a straight blade (not scoop) that is metal as well as the handle bar if you prefer. I have them both.

A:  Scoop is plastic. I’ve used it for 2+ years with no issue.

A:  The blade and yellow handle at the end are plastic, the gray shaft is steel. We’ve had one for several years and it’s been very durable. The only wear is right along the front edge, but that’s probably because I’ve used it to break up ice on the sidewalk.

Heavy deep snow needs to be removed in smaller amounts per shovelful versus attempting to remove too much snow at a time in each shovelful to avoid possible health issues based on your overall health.

A:  This is great because there is less being hunched over with the curve. That curve is what makes this a great product. Not to mention this brand is heavy duty. Worth every cent. You get this one and they have one that’s wider and more shallow for cleaning up and good for like plowing. I have both.very happy with both!!

A:  It's pretty good on its own, but you can also add an ergonomic handle - like the Trentco ProHandle, to make it even easier on your back if you want.

A:  When the snow is heavy and wet, I normally just push the snow to the area I want to leave it. I have picked up heavy snow with this, and the shovel does well. When I have picked up heavy snow, the shovel part hasn't cracked or bend. I push the snow to protect my back.

A:  It appears to be the same item number as the two shovels I bought last January. I love this shovel. It survived last year’s extended winter and is still going strong this season. The handle allows me to get a better angle without bending over as much. My back thanks the manufacturer.
