Q:If the roof is still wet or raining will the adhesive stick?
by|Nov 6, 2015

Answer This Question

A:  This tarp has some "serious" adhesive, and it did stick when I applied it to a wet roof. I re-applied pressure after the roof was dry just to be safe, and it worked great..;~)

A:  I would suggest having the shingles as dry as possible, for a better seal.

A:  I doubt it, but you can use a scrap piece of wood to weight it down, or tuck a piece of it under a few shingles.

Q:is it good enough to protect leaking roof over winter months in New York? Also, does it need perfectly neat existing roofing to adhere to it? Thanks.

    Answer This Question

A:  My has been up a year, I live in the Bronx, so it has been mostly okay. I had one end come up during the winter on a particularly crazy windy night, I had to tape it back down with Gorilla Tape.

Q:Can this be put down in the rain or do you have to wait until everything is dry?

      Answer This Question

A:  It is only sticky on the very edge. So little so, that I didn't even notice it when I used the tarp initially to throw construction debris on it during a remodel. It has grommets around the edges, so you can tie it down like a regular tarp. I re-used it over my chicken coop when the roof leaked last winter and had no problems. It stayed up till spring when I replaced the roof with a metal one.

A:  Hi Ffuentes, This is shipped with standard shipping. Under the "Ship to Store" selection you will see the "Available for Pick Up: __" section. This will give the estimated time the tarp should arrive to the store. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Q:I have a swamp mounted swamp cooler....its now about 12 years old and when it rains enough water comes out of the hallway vent inside the house to fill a dutch oven pan. I believe the rain is going down the roof right under the cooler and into the hole cut into the roof. All I know is I need to stop this asap!

        Answer This Question

A:  It doesn't. Once it's on, very difficult to remove.

        by|May 15, 2019

A:  You can either nail it fast to the roof and/or peel off the backing to the adhesive on the underneath side and press it down on the roof. When you want to remove it remove the nails and/or use a putty knife to separate the adhesive from the roof.
