A:  Plastic post are holding up fine, but wouldn't suggest buying to 5x5 solar light. They burned out in 6 months and also turned brown because of the sun.

A:  Speak to the paint department to find out what type of paint you need. As far as I know, it does not come in black, but it can be painted.
