Q:If the posts are only 8 feet long, and the instructions say to dig a hole 36-42 inches, how is there enough post to actually use for the fence? I am confused.

Answer This Question
A: Greg,
You've got a point there, so we had to ask our experts. Here are the findings: The directions should say 24” in depth and not 36”-42”. This will allow the nominal 6 foot tall fence to be above and set properly in the slotted posts. We will make sure that this change gets made in our system. Thank you for alerting us to this error.

A: You don't need longer posts, you just need your concrete to be below the frost line. The post just needs to be 2 feet into the concrete.

Q:Do the posts that go with the veranda dover panels need a reinforcement through the center? Example a 4x4, I-beam or comparable?
by|Mar 30, 2019

Answer This Question
A: No, the posts are meant to stand alone. The only time we recommend installing reinforcement is if you are installing a gate. We recommend installing the reinforcement on the hinged side of the gate to give it extra strength.
