Answer This Question
A: Hi, thanks for your question. The Rust Remover soak formula works very well on parts that can be submerged in the formula for 3 hours or more. If you can disassemble parts of your car chassis and place them in a container with the liquid it would be highly useful for removing rust. Thanks for choosing WD-40 Brand Products.

Q:How well does it work for removing rust from concrete? What are the directions to remove rust from concrete?

Answer This Question
A: Hi, thanks for your question. This product works with items that can be submerged in the liquid for at least 2-3 hours, or longer for heavier rust coverage. It will not function properly by pouring the product onto concrete. Depending on the amount of rust involved, the Original WD-40 Formula can help to restore items or areas affected by rust. Spray and abrade the area with a rag, wire brush, steel wool, or whatever makes sense for the application. Thanks for choosing WD-40 Brand Products.

Answer This Question
A: Hi, thanks for your question. While competitor rust removal products use different techniques depending on the brand and product type, WD-40 Specialist Rust Remover Soak works by submerging the rusted items in the (reusable) liquid so the non-caustic chemicals can break down the rust and help restore the item to good condition. Allow 2-3 hours to soak, or overnight for heavy duty rust. Thanks for choosing WD-40 Brand Products.
