Plant arrived healthy and beautiful but was absolutely NOT THE SIZE DESCRIBED! Well pkg'd for shipping, in 84" tall box but plant was only 31" tall; (pot was 3.75 gal). Called HD cust svc: They offered price adj but after 30+ min on the phone said unable to complete adj and to take the 4 plants to local store; That they would make adj. Local store said they can only accept return; CAN'T do adj on web orders!!

dies in 3 months we water and fertilize it. Just not good.

All three dead after a few weeks

Easy to unbox and embed; done in 15 minutes. This is my third time ordering plants online, from Home Depot.

Think twice.First off, the plant I received was half the size of the one pictured. It was only about a foot high if that. The whole bottom of the plant had leaves with holes in it. Apparently bugs. I will not order shrubs from home Depot again.

Great plant, healthy

Bought & planted 5 of these mid-summer last year. Spring is here; they are dead. No issues with the other 100's of trees and shrubs that went in. Not a single one of these made it.

I ordered the 2.25 gallon and the plants that I received were about 20 inches tall. I previously ordered 2 quart ones from a different vendor and it was about the same size for half the price. I was expecting these to be taller for what I paid. However, they are thicker than the other ones. I’m sure they were cut in order to fit inside the box. One was brown on the bottom with lots of white dots. Not sure if it has an infection or it’s this is normal for this shrub.

Bought 3 to see how they looked. Exceeded expecations and will be ordering 22 more. Lots of reviews about the size. Not sure what you were expecting foe $30 a plant

I paid basically $100. A piece for these sky pencils via online so I could get the same 7 gallon I purchased in the store. They instead sent me, I believe, the small 2 gallon plant in the 7 gallon container and charged the 7 gallon price. I was shocked when I opened the large boxes! I could have gotten a larger 2 gallon in the store for $25.00. It’s been over a month and I still get upset every time I see them in my backyard!

I ordered the larger size thinking I would get a larger plant than the one gallon pot. The plants came well-packaged and quickly, but I was dissappointed that they were only 12” tall and half as wide (plant height, not including the pot). The soil is loose and the roots are not well developed for this size of pot. I will be returning these as they are only worth half the price paid.

Why offer a 7 gallon plant if you are going to cut it in half to ship it?? 1 gallon plants at the nursery were 2 ft tall and this 7 gallon is barely 2ft tall. Returning.

Depot offered these hollies at three different price points: $17.99, $19.99 and $27.99. I purchased the $27.99, expecting them to be fairly large, vs. the less expensive options. Prior reviews stated that these arrived at 28-30 inches in height. The shrubs I received were barely 13-14 inches; the plants were barely taller than the pots they arrived in and not as pictured in Home Depot's listing. Had I ordered the $17.99 version, would I have received seedlings? Overall, not too satisfied with the order. I give the rating a second star because the plants arrived on-time, healthy and packaged well.

I specifically bought 4 of these based on reviews inficating they were a nice size. I declined to buy locally because everything was too small. Plants arrived in great shape but only 30” tall. I could have bought a slightly larger size locally for half yhe price. Very disappointed. Way too small for the price

The plant is smaller than described. I order 2.5qt and the plant is maybe 8in.

I placed my order for a 2.25 gallon sky pencil holly in early NOV 2020. The plant was in transit for 5 days - from NC to NY. The plant was healthy and measured 30 inches from the base of the plant to the top - 40 inches including the planter it came in. The holly arrived with small white flowers and black berries. I plan to keep the holly in a planter/container and move the plant around to figure out its final position in the yard. In a container, I also find it easier to get to know the plant better. I will plant the holly in-ground in the Spring. During the winter, I've read the holly should be tied to avoid any damage from heavy snow that may cause the branches to splay. Happy with the health and condition of my new holly. 

I ordered seven of these. The boxes were pretty banged up upon delivery but the plants inside seemed fine; nice and green, no apparent damage, healthy looking. I also liked how the soil was still slightly damp even after over a week of travel to get to California from the East coast. Out of seven of these, they averaged 50 inches tall not including the soil and plastic planter pot. I thought the price was a little on the high end but you do get what you pay for. I highly recommend these and am happy with my purchase.

Six big beautiful sky pencil hollies - quick few days delivery, securely packed, healthy & uniform - perfectly happy with purchase!

I was on an unsuccessful quest to find 2 of these a similar size to ones already planted - 5 gallon or larger. Discovered Home Depot had recently added this size. Shipping time was 5 days but Home Depot's reviews were good so I took the chance. The shrubs were beautiful, healthy, & big! The packaging was meticulous. I definitely recommend their service & kudos to the wholesale nursery they use.

I purchased two of these pencil shrubs to go on either side of a fountain on my patio. I was concerned about purchasing them online, because I didn’t know how well they would ship. To my joy and surprise, these shrubs arrived healthy and vibrant looking. I have had them a few weeks now, and they still seem to be doing well.

Looked very healthy, good price, easy to plant. Recommend.

The plants are beautiful even though we bought them during the inferno. We have not planted them yet because of the heat and dry weather but they are thriving in the pots. I want more!

Price was right. Quality of plant was great and very well packaged for a live plant. Would do it again.
