I used it to seal the area around a gas pipe that entered into the furnace. I didn't try setting it on fire so I'm taking their word for it. Before sealing I could see flames inside the furnace though the gap where the gas line went into the furnace. I've had no problem since sealing the area in question.

This fire Sealant is horrible. It doesn't flow like Hilti and it comes out in clumps.

Fills the cracks. Allow at least 30min to set up.

The fire barrier sealant took care of our problem.

Due to building codes you must now fire caulk any holes you drill in the studs vertically and every 10 ft horizontally. You definitely need a quality caulking gun the crappy ones will work but will twist and try to shove the cartridge out. This caulk fills in the hole rather well. And the inspectors will be looking for the holes to be filled both sides.
