This medicine cabinet is extremely heavy duty and is much easier to install with 2 people. Even then, it still took us a few hours to install. My husband removed the doors to lighten the weight before installing. I got it on sale for just over $200 and it is worth the money I paid. Be aware that the measurements say 31 inches tall but this is including a small lip at the top and the bottom so you only get about 30 inches of interior space. This was important to us because we were trying to mount to cover a hole on the wall from a previous light fixture. The door hinges are self closing so they do not slam shut, which is nice; however, if you are trying to position the doors so you can see the back of your head, they won't always stay where you put them. The distance between each shelf inside is the same and will not accommodate tall bottles, like hairspray or gel without leaving out one shelf. I've only had it up for 2 days BUT....overall I would purchase again because it is so nicely made, sturdy, and beautiful!

Product wrapped properly for delivery and came earlier than expected. Very spacious inside and beautiful outside. Definitely meet my expectations.

This mirror is amazing!!!!! First of all, I purchased 2 smaller mirrors from a competitor's website. They were Kohler and really pricey. I ended up installing them in the smaller bathrooms and this big guy in the master bath. After installing and using the two styles, I definitely have even more of an appreciation of the Pegasus medicine cabinet! Packaging: The item is packaged well and arrived in great condition. There are corner protectors on all mirror edges, film on all surfaces, and styrofoam around it. I was worried about ordering such a fragile item online but those worries were unfounded. Installing: The directions definitely leave something to be desired BUT it's pretty easy to figure out. Place the bottom rail level. Drill screws through the holes and into studs. Slide in the clips at the top of the mirror. Place the mirror in the desired location. Slide the clips to the stud locations and drill. Done. Seriously - this 48" mirror so much easier to install than the Kohler and the design has installation in mind. It can be installed in either direction (top / bottom are the same) so that the center cabinet can open either way. Installing the shelves was the only difficult part, more because the pins are very tight in the pre-drilled holes so there was a lot of pushing and twisting involved. Not a deal breaker or even worth deducting a star. Use: THIS THIS IS AMAZING!!!!! It has so much storage, makes the room appear so much bigger, and the soft close hinges are wonderful. It really makes me wish I had gotten this first, but you live and learn I guess!

I installed this 3 days ago. Well-constructed, fairly easy to mount in wall. I gave it 2 stars because each panel is bevelled ALL THE WAY AROUND. That means, accounting for the gaps in the unadjusted factory installed panels added to the vertical bevels, there's a 1.25 inch gap in the reflection. Why they didn't leave the bevel off where the panels meet is a complete mystery. The product shots on the website show a wider product which makes the bevels less noticeable and one photo seems to have been altered to not show bevels.

This medicine cabinet is basically pretty solid but... There’s a visible blemish in one of the mirror doors on the edge in the mirror silver, not the glass. And the absolute worst is every glass shelf is etched and painted with the glass company name and glass specifications and it’s in huge type and very visible. Very bad decision. I would have taken it back but Home Depot is a big drive and my wife, tho not happy says she’ll live with it. Then the other semi annoying stuff; the plastic clips that hold the glass shelves are an odd 2 piece system which would have been good except for the tolerances are not good some are almost impossible to snap together while others are much easier. Don’t use the wall anchors that come with it, get some real ones at the hardware dept.

I have had this product for just under two years and it is literally rusting from the inside out. The paint it on the mirror is metallic paint that is rusting and flaking. It was not an expensive product. I will be seeking a refund. Don’t waste your money.

If you’re looking for this style, this IS the one. Exceptional value. I’ve seen MDF versions of this that are more expensive. This cabinet is on par with the $800-$1k models I had been researching. Mirrored throughout. Mirrored side panels. Heavy grade, adjustable hinges. Substantial doors. Excellent glass shelves. Clips to prevent shelves from sliding around. Excellent system to hang directly to the wall if you aren’t doing the recessed way... which is how I did it (buy a stud finder.) It is heavy as you might imagine. 2 person job. 3 makes it even easier. That’s not a con, just what I found to be helpful. If you took the doors off, you could probably do it alone! I used my own heavy duty screws instead of the ones it came with. Definitely recommend.

Mirror looks great in the beginning but after just a year of use, the edge of the glass start to wear and brown. It looks like the material used for the mirror starts to wear off. I have a similar design mirror by Kohler, which is a few years older and has not had the same issue.

We surface mounted this over a vanity and it looks great! It has tons of storage and mirrors inside and out. Love it!

Overall, very satisfied with this medicine cabinet. We had trouble finding good choices in the stores, but the online experience led us to a perfect choice. I thought about a four star rating because of a few things: The side accent mirrors are put on to mounts with tape, and I am concerned that this could be an issue going forward, because the bathroom is just a moisture prone environment - but they seem secure. Also, we would have preferred more options with shelf height. You're basically looking at a lot of just-too-short dimensions. We made room for some of the taller items by leaving out a shelf in the middle. We wondered at first why the shelf doors swing like they do, but once it was up, we realized it made it possible to see a side view with the outer mirrors open. Yay... I can now monitor the progress of my bald spot! She really likes that feature a lot - no mysteries about what you look like from the side. Not as much assembly as I had feared. We "got the guy" to come and put it up. He walked in, saw the size of the package, and asked : What is this, a 65 inch TV? Once it was unpacked, though, he was impressed with the design, and how easy it was to put up. Also appreciated - the manufacturer makes sure to put extra parts in with the mounting hardware. Thank You So Much! NOTE: You definitely need two people for this install, it is over 70 pounds. We really love the design, and how much stuff it fits. It was perfect for our bathroom. It is clear that we are going to start getting OCD about the fingerprints. Beveled sides give no clear indication about how to open it, so guests will leave their cootie encrusted marks on it, for sure. Reason for 5 stars instead of 4: The Home Depot experience. Recently, I have dealt with customer service from other companies that was beyond atrocious. Then I called Home Depot. Easy to navigate menu. A courteous, easy-to understand, professional, and genuinely friendly person talked with me within seconds. I pointed out that I had ordered this online, and then it went on sale. Should I return it. and then order it again? Less than one minute later, I was refunded the difference of the sale price, with absolutely no questions asked. I found myself astonished. Wait... There really is a company left that values the customer and places a priority on customer service? We recently bought a home, and have been doing a lot of work on it. We have been doing a lot of business with Home Depot. We did their appliance package for our kitchen redo, and we are very happy there. Love this company.,and everything they have done to help us is appreciated,

I purchased 3 of these. We just installed them and I love the product, but the glass shelves are too long for the side sections on all of them...ugh. The shelves for the center section are almost too short, but work if careful. Because the shelves are too long for the outside sections they are virtually unusable unless I can find someone to make shelves.

OMG I love this mirror!! It provides so much extra storage in the bathroom. Each section opens and provides 3 shelves. It’s also mirrored behind the doors so that even with the doors open, you are still seeing your refraction. Bought one for each bathroom.

I love this cabinet. It's beautiful and roomy. Wasn't to hard to install in my 1999 Cavco home. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to, but it went in fine.

Absolutely love this cabinet! We had to rent a home to live in and needed storage We looked at lower end faux wood cabinets but went with this. Beautiful, easy install, good directions, great craftsmanship. We will definitely take this with us when we move out of rental. Spend the extra money and get quality......

We've had this medicine cabinet only 2 years and the lower right corner has developed a desilvered black spot already, and we rarely touch it there.

This medicine cabinet is beautiful! It was easy to install with two people. The hardest part of the install was figuring out the clips that hold the glass shelves. Overall I would buy this cabinet again and I'm very happy with it.

Because this is a big, expensive and fragile item, I decided to work with a Pro on installing the cabinet for best success. We relied heavily on the cumulative wisdom of previous reviewers and it went off without a hitch! This is the process we used: Ahead of time, buy several 2” long screws with a washer/screw combo head. This was a surface mount, so we marked the wall studs and planned out all the measurements for mounting to be sure there was enough room above and below the cabinet. Unpack the cabinet carefully and lay out all of the pieces. Decide which side of the cabinet will be UP, then unscrew the 3 doors carefully and mark where they go for re-mounting at the end. Follow the instructions provided for mounting the cabinet on the wall but do not put the doors on yet. I agree with all the reviewers who said that having pre-set shelf placement was frustrating, so BEFORE the doors were re-mounted, I decided to not use the bottom glass shelves. This leaves a 14” opening for the taller items on the bottom shelf of the cabinet. Not ideal, but better than being limited to 7 inches. Also, I put the pre-printed logo on the glass shelves toward the back where it isn’t noticeable. Note that because the shelves are securely clipped in on the sides, the shelves can’t be moved at all after the doors are installed. The Pro re-mounted the mirror doors after everything else was completed, being careful to put them in the same place they came from. He also knew how to make the adjustments to make them align perfectly. Beautiful cabinet, happy wife!

Lots of storage. Easy to assemble and mount. Works well so far.

Very nice product, a few things to keep in mind. I was lucky enough to get while on sale. Gives our small bathroom lots of storage, and makes it seem a little bigger as well. 1) Check it at the store, at least the best you can. It's heavy (70 pounds), and packed well, but our first one came broken. 2) You're crazy if you try to install with the doors on. They come off easily, just push the tab at the back of the hinge-they go back on just as easily. Mark which one is which. 3) Took me awhile to figure out that there is an opening at the center for the top brackets to slide into the frame. 4) You can't reverse the hinges for the doors. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I'd prefer the left and right doors to open from the center-out, but it's not a deal breaker. 5) If you're putting into drywall, your best option is to attach the bracket to a stud. I think I only hit one, so I used EZ Ancors both top and bottom. I'd never used this particular type of anchor before, they are awesome, and the cabinet isn't going anywhere. 6) If attaching side mirrors, do a trial run first, you only get one chance to do this. The tape seems like it wouldn't work, but it holds like iron, so you need to get it right the first time. Check top and bottom. 7) Takes awhile to attach clips to shelves, very annoying because at this point you want to be all done. Peg clip goes into frame, other ones snap over to hold in place. But they hold shelves in place very well. 8) You can do this by yourself, but ideally you'll have an extra hand to hold frame while you attach your first top bracket. Before attaching first top bracket, check for level again, this is your last chance to make sure it's exactly where you want it. Glad I bought it, I think you will be too..

I am very impressed with the quality of this medicine cabinet. There are mirrors on the back of the mirrors and mirrors inside the cabinet and mirrors on the side. The mirrors actually seem to make the room appear brighter and larger. The glass shelves are sturdy, not flimsy. I like it so well, I am planning on buying a 48 inch cabinet for the upstairs bathroom. This product exceeded my expectations by far.

Initially wanted to frame in the wall but realized that the wall was so thick because of a vent pipe that went across the middle of the wall so I mounted to the wall instead. When I finally opened the box, the side mirrors were broken in half. I called HD and scheduled a return pickup and re-ordered another mirror. UPS picked up the return 2 days later. No issues and when I went to pick-up the new mirror in the store, I opened the box and checked the side mirrors. They aren't packed well. They are slidden down the side of the box and easy to retrieve and check for damage. Second order was good. Pulled mirror out at home, unscrewed mirror doors from the hinges so I didn't have to hold that weight while mounting the mirror and didn't have to re-align hinges. Simple process. Suggest picking up a handful of larger 1.5" screws for the mounting. Makes it easier. I got a little larger heads on the screws and they went in fine. I also created a paper template that I used because I added another GFI and replaced the overhead light and wanted to be sure I had enough room above the mounting rail and enough space between the top of the cabinet and the bottom of the new light fixture. The rest of the cabinet was simple to do. The entire process took me about 2 hours by myself. The glass shelves do have a rather large stamp from the glass factory in China. It's irrelevant and stupid. I guess it's no difference than buying something from GE and having some trademark or stamp on a component. Anyway, it's sturdy and serves it's purpose. I would recommend opening the box and reaching down the side - inside, to check the side mirrors to avoid having to get it home and then have to return it. All and all, I'm happy with the cabinet, the new light, the fan, all of which came from Home Depot. I also replaced all the molding and ordered a baseboard replacement cover. I just need to replace the vanity and the floor and the bathroom should be good for another 30 years.

I installed the medicine cabinet myself. The only help I needed was in lifting and holding the cabinet in place while I secured the top mounts. It looks great! The mirrors inside and on the inside of the doors add a very nice touch plus the doors can be positioned to see the styling of my hair in the back. Now I am ready to replace the vanity light!

We ordered this online and our contractor picked it up and installed it. While installing it he noticed that one of the side mirrors was shattered after the bulk of the unit was already installed. We went back to the store with the broken piece and Customer Service was great. They helped us order a whole new unit, which happened to be on sale for $100 less and when it arrived at the store they helped open the box and swap out just the broken piece to send back with the second unit. That way we did not have to uninstall, etc. Several weeks later when the rest of the finish work was completed we actually moved into the bathroom and removed the plastic film from the mirrored doors and found one of them had a large chip at the top. We removed the door and went back to the store and did the same thing again. When the third unit arrived the Customer Service associate had a terrible time removing the door from the new unit so we could swap it out. He was obviously not at all skilled in the use of a screwdriver but he was very gracious. After about an hour he decided to send me home with the hinge, which I did not need. In a few minutes my husband had the hinge removed and the new door installed. The cabinet is finally complete. However, it does not come with any sort of cover piece for the top should you need to surface mount the unit, which we did due to a lot of plumbing and electrical in the wall behind the unit. We will cut a thin piece of wood and use it on the top so that it will be possible to wipe it off as needed rather than having all the hinges and hardware exposed on top. The "total mirror" aspect of this item is quite striking. Even when you open the doors it is very elegant feeling. We have more room than we could fill up inside of it too.

Beautiful cabinet, very heavy, lots of space. The only thing is the shelf brackets could of been better designed, my fingers were so sore placing them, they go on hard but the glass shelves don't move.LOVE the self closing doors

This product is what I expected. We had something similar in a previous home and when we moved into a new home recently we thought adding this to the existing bathroom would be nice. We actually purchased and installed 3 of these cabinets. Two in the master bath with his & her sinks, and one in the guest bath. I would recommend these cabinets to anyone that needs a little extra space in their bathrooms beyond just medicines.
