I had two other Acurite monitors, one of which partially failed. I bought this one to replace it. However, the readings were way off compared to my other unit. I contacted the company and they are replacing it under warranty. I do not recommend this unit as calibration is way off. It remains to be seen if the replacement will be accurate.

I purchased this to monitor the temperature in my new born puppy room & can move it around to get a good reading, its magnetic & is on my standing lamp pole, when bathing dogs I place it in the bathing area to see what the temperature is before bathing. I love it

Would be nice to have a bigger magnet, or hook on the back to be able to hang, otherwise it works well

I purchased the monitor to test a Home Depot "Seed" product. I will compare basement humidity controlled by a dehumidifier to a refillable moisture absorber. The activated monitor's temperature/humidity readings agree with initial readings.

I just bought my second AcuRite thermometer. The one in my camper works great, and now I put one in the barn. I like that it is easy to read, and gives me all the info I need. The magnet on the back makes it easy to hang. Definitely recommended.

Nice & accurate device for indoor monitoring.

Easy to read. Shows current temp and humidity as well as past high and low for both temp and humidity.

I have 1 on each level of my home and they seem to work great. Only been about 2 weeks so not sure about longevity, but as of now they work quite excellent for humidity levels (and temp).

I wanted to know the relative humidity in the room where I keep my guitar collection. Low humidity can be very bad for wood instruments. I wish it lit up but, for this price it gets the job done.

Worked for a couple of years, although it read 2 degrees low. Put it outside under a covered porch, temps in the 20's, and the temp readout died. Hygrometer still worked.

The monitor has a very clear display which can be easily viewed at any distance or angle. It has a button on the back to display the temperature in either Celsius or in Fahrenheit. It also has a clip-on with a magnetic strip attached on the back which can also be turned into a stand to place the monitor in almost any part of your home. Although there is no way to calibrate the monitor, the temperature and humidity readings are fairly accurate. Compared to 2 other thermometers and tested with a hygrometer calibration kit for relative humidity, the readings were accurate most of the time but can occasionally be off by as much as 2 degrees Fahrenheit or 2% RH. Since I have only owned the product for a week, I can't say how durable the product is and if the readings can still be accurate in the long run. It does include a 1 year warranty but according to the manual, you must register the product online to be eligible for the warranty.

I purchased this for a music room to ensure proper humidity levels for guitars. It took about 10 minutes to adjust to the room. I almost returned it at first because the temperature appeared stuck on 81 degrees. However, after about 10 minutes the temperature was dead on, based on my IR thermometer. I have no method to assess the accuracy of the hygrometer, but based on other's reviews, I expect it be accurate. If I move it into the a/c vent air path, the humidity drops quickly, so it appears to have good sensitivity and responsiveness. I care about the humidity, not the temperature, so the fact that larger first number is the humidity and not the temperature is perfect for my use. I will likely purchase another one to take traveling in my guitar case. I just purchased this today, so I cannot comment on long term quality, but out of the box, I have no complaints. It does not have a back-light, but then I have no need to read it in the dark. The high/low record resets automatically every 24 hours based on the time of day you installed the battery.

Looks good. But, it is most inaccurate!! I have it in the same room, temporary placement, as an electronic contractor installed humidistat. The readings on both devices differ anywhere from 6 to 12 percent or more.

Want to keep track of humidity in condo and it works perfectly.

Operates as advertised. Price is a bit high.
