It was time to replace my 20 year-old-spa. I did lots of research and liked American spas and learned they know how to build spas.I called customer service to determine what kind of support to expect since Home Depot is not a hot tub company. I was advised of a local company to reach out to if service is needed and a website to purchase parts. American Spa had what I was looking for, well made, depth in footwell, roomy seating, ozonator. I didn’t want custom features like waterfalls, Bluetooth, or blower. I purchased the spa and it arrived in excellent condition, and no leaks! The spa has exceeded my expectations in quality, and construction. It has one powerful pump with a low and high speed and noise level is low. It is well insulated, a nice roomy white shell, one light in the footwell that changes color, very durable cover, durable exterior, and an ozonator. Customer service guided me on how to set the two filter cycles. American spas is easy to reach for support. My budget and the price is what attracted me to the American spa at Home Depot. I am very happy with my purchase and pleasantly surprised how well made the spa is. All those custom features would have increased the cost considerably and I didn’t want to deal with more parts to fix.

Buy this baby!! Jets rock, plenty big enough for 4-5 adults. Rent a trailer with a ramp and slide it right onto your pad with 3 strong buddies. We used an old bed to safely flip it on, it comes upright on it's side for shipping. Home depot customer service was amazing when the delivery company they contracted failed to deliver on time. Been in it every day this week and my back is feeling 100 times better

It’s very nice hot tub. I live in Buffalo New York area,the Freedom hot tub was delivered on January 22 2021 and the temperature outside was about 24°. I filled the tub up with hot water by the time it reached the top it was 78° by the night time it was 101. When we went into the hot tub is when we were having problems because we tried to keep it to 104 and it would not go up to that temperature I found out that there was no insulation inside the hot tub so it would not keep temperature up. Me and my wife were very disappointed with the whole experience originally it was supposed to take two months and it took five months with very little communication.

Bought this tub July 5th 2018 and the pump is already out!! Warranty is 1 year on labor and 2 years on parts so American Spas is sending me a new pump but I have to pay $500 to get a technician to come out and put it in. We live in North Texas and only used the tub for 4 months last year and then drained it due to the weather, thought we would fill it today October 10, 2019 and that is when we found out the pump was bad. So we called and they told us the pump was out and we would have to pay to have a new one put in. We only used this thing 30 times tops and then drained it, the pump should not have gone out that fast!! Will never purchase another thing from American Spas (Cal Spas). BUYER BEWARE... VERY BAD QUALITY!!
Home Depot did all they could to help but Cal Spas was not helpful at all!!

Delivery went well- just know that you need a team to move this, as COMMON SENSE would dictate. Purchased 2 months ago. Had Installed for beach home. Installers and electrician noticed no problems. So far so good. The instrument panel is easy to use - so much better than other brands. They all try to get too darn fancy and outsmart themselves. Thank you for keeping it simple. All jets are operational. Knobs are easy to turn. We noticed the operation of the waterfalls significantly cool the tub - so watch that carefully. Only complaint so far is that the headrests come off way too easily - this is going to be a problem and I may need to just pull the headrests entirely if renters are going to use it. Overall I would call this a superior value for a larger tub. You can fit 7 people in this baby but they had better be fit and trim and not too fat.

The spa is working OK. I have a problem with the pumps 1 and turning it off. It does turn off after running for about 5 minutes. I thought it would be immediate after the third push of the pumps 1 button and yes pumps 2 is already off. Other than that everything is fine.

Arrived early. Directions were clear. Delivery communications could have been clearer as one person delivery team was understaffed to deliver an 850 pound item. Otherwise was a good deal for a quality product and would buy again at the price purchased.

First of all, they delivered it with one person. If my son's were not home, they would have never got it off the truck.
Then after I paid to have all the electrical done, I filled it with water & turned on the heater & it never even got warm. Then it started to leak water.
I called American Spas & they gave me a number for service but the company refused to come because they said I lived too far away from them.
So I decided to return it. Home Depot hired a company to pick it up but when they came there was only 2 guys. They told me they would have to get more help & would come back. They never did. I called the online returns, the guy said they scheduled for more guys to help & would call me. Well, it's after Christmas & it's still in my backyard. No calls & no one to pick it up has come to my house!
I had to hire my electrician to come back & remove the wires. So far I'm in debt for approximately $750.00 for all this electrical for the spa & I have nothing out of it & a non working spa left in my backyard.
NOT HAPPY & wouldn't recommend purchasing this product from a place that doesn't sell or service spas.

The hot tub has loads of room and worked as advertised as soon as power was connected and filled with water. I think that additional insulation during the manufacture process would improve the efficiency and operating cost.

This is a SOLID spa. Looks beautiful, runs beautifully and exceeds my expectations. The delivery was pretty rocky, but I'm not sure that not everyone will have that experience. It's a very heavy hot tub, so be prepared for movers or equipment to get it into place. The jets are very strong and the water heated up very very quickly on a cold December day from 55 to 104 in only 7 hours. We used a EZPAD for the hot tub base in stead of pouring a foundation and it worked great. The exterior paneling isn't cheap wood, it feels more like a trex product! Impressive! I would have given it 5 stars but the electrical connect tabs are flimsy and broke during the wire-up. That and the delivery experience brought the overall review down to 4 stars. The product itself is 5 stars for sure.

Only been installed for 3 weeks, but overall pleased with product. Disappointed in level of insulation in the tub cabinet, waiting for 1st electric bill as winter in NY Adirondacks can be a might chilly. The delivery firm from Albany was very accommodating.

Great deal hardest part was getting an electrician to connect the power. Filled the hot tub in a half day heated over night and in it the next. Everything works as promised.

Great for price
Awesome spa. Love everything about it. The only thing I would change is the waterfall stream when the jets r on high the waterfall shots from both sides and it's powerful and u can get soaked. You r able to turn them down or off but if they r on and u don't realize it and turn the jets on high is when it sprays to much. Other than that the spa is perfect and the price was good. We love it!!

Great hot tub. It took a little prep work (ie poured a pad, 220 wiring) but its been well worth the price. After researching hot tub for about a year, I found this one was ideal. I also found that it is made by Cal Spas, which is priced at nearly double. Much better price at Home Depot.

Living in Luxury!
You can't beat the feeling of coming home after a long day and relaxing in a hot tub! I have a lot of lower back pain from sitting at the office all day and this hot tub has dramatically helped the stress and tension! I didn't face any issues with delivery and the set up was painless. I am very pleased with my purchase and I know it's something my family will enjoy for years to come.

Thank you, America Spas. This FREEDOM spa does not let you down. It always is treats me like a champion. Soothing me after a long day at work – the 40 massaging jets are fantastic for hydrotherapy, aiding in my recovery after a long workout and helping me become stronger. Together, I have no doubt we can make hot tubs soothing again. In my opinion the ozonator and thermo-layer insulation are the best two features in that the ozone bubbles keep the water clean and safe with little maintenance and keep energy costs down. This spa makes me want to yell, "Freedom!" Now to see if I can set the multi-color LED spa lights to flash Red, White and Blue, "American Spas! America! Murica!"
