Pretty good product
I was redoing an attic with bat insulation, with these baffles. Putting these in a new attic, would be much easier. Zero, none, zilch, instructions. Pay close attention to the picture here. After we figured that out, went up pretty smoothly. Seems to help but I think I have other issues.

      Stop the air loss!
Awesome product to quickly block and direct air flow. I used it in a knee wall attic and in the winter it dramatically increased the temperature by 8-10 degrees by assuring the cold air goes up to the ridge vents and not into the space. It was an easy fix vs a contractor recommendation to spend several hundred dollars on a thermal barrier installation. So if you can staple and reach tight areas of your attic I highly recommend ordering this baffle blocking system.

        Will do the job
I would have liked to see the longer one made available, but this will do. Used foam to air seal the edges.

        Awesome product to work with!!
Works great with bat insulation. Rolls off top of wall and up between trusses to protect insulation from wind and moisture that might blow up the soffits. Easy to trim for your needs.

          Makes a tough job easy
Purchased to prepare a non insulated attic for blown-in insulation. These baffles were remarkable and made the job much easier than anticipated, especially for a 62 year old guy with a bad back. Whenever I do a construction type job I always allow for 10% waste - not needed with these. Despite having to crawl around in some pretty tight spaces and drag the baffles along with me, none got damaged and I didn't need the extras. The baffles are extremely light weight and much more durable than the styrofoam type baffles sold in the local Home Depot store. I can't figure out why Home Depot doesn't sell these in the store. Shipping from HD, via UPS, was extremely quick and free for an order over $45. The perforations in the baffles also make for easy customizing to place the baffles around various obstructions; all you need is a box cutter or a pair of scissors. Due to the tight quarters I was working in, I used an electric staple gun with 3/8" staples. That worked great. The baffles allow great air flow and made blowing in the insulation a snap. Great product, highly recommend.

          works as indicated
installation went well. the spacing between the rafters was not exactly 16" but the soft material allowed for adjustment. the bottom part of the rafters near the deck had <16" due to the horizontal joists. again, soft and pliable material allowed for adjustment. should work, but i need to live through the winter to see how that goes.

            Works Very Well
This product worked very well with the Retro-install on my house. I was able to reach the top plate to pull the existing insulation back (with a 3-1/4" x 20" Rake tool I made), slide the Vent down the rafter into place with the folded back part onto the top plate. Stapled the vent to the deck per instructions with a air stapler ( a hand stapler would not work in these tight locations). I could use a fiber-glass batt (24" x 20") to place on the top plate to keep the bottom of the vent from being pushed back/out (that would open the blown-in insulation to the soffet). The length of the Vent and the pitch (4:12"?) have allowed about 20" of height to the top of the vent for blown-in insulation. The tear-off perforations were easy, worked well in tight places for those odd truss sets. Worth the $100+ bucks to keep the soffet vents from being covered, and wasting the blown-in insulation in the soffets. Wish I knew about these earlier to keep the insulation from being blown out during the remodel. New-Install ?. . . a piece of cake.

Accuvent Baffle for attic intake vent
The accuvent baffle fit over the frieze block attic intake vent, because it has a flexible tail that is designed to curve over it. The baffles sold in the store have to be used with another piece of something to cover the frieze block attic intake vent.

            Super Easy
These were very easy to fit into very tight spaces in my crawl space attic. Nice and flexible and didn't worry once about them breaking while I was jamming them into place.

            Better alternative
Good product, much better than styrofoam ducts which the mice do a job on. Could come with clearer installation instructions.

Fantastic baffling for 12-2 pitch roof line.
This baffling was easy to install and worked well in the 12-2 pitch of the roof trusses. It conformed to the opening and took 7 staples 3 across the front of the roof plate and 4 in the roof portion (that were clearly marked for easy installation). I was installing in 0 degree weather (had to, not by choice) and vents were flexible and did not crack/break. These were easier to use than the Styrofoam vents.

Very good product for the costs
If you have an existing attic that is very tight to get too, than this is your product. I tried using the pink foam stuff and it just shattered and broke when trying to staple it. Don't even think about using the pink foam baffles ever! They are horrible. This stuff is so much more rigid and you can staple it without it breaking. Some did tear slightly but that was because I was jammed in the corner of my attic bad! But they did the job. They do have slits on the edges were you can reduce the size of the baffle if you have a small truss than 24" OC. My only wish is that they made them slightly wider so I could staple to the truss instead of the the roof sheathing just in case you ever needed to replace the sheathing they could stay in place, but not a big deal. Also I would like them to bit a bit longer. I blow in insulation in my attic and could only get 10" thickness near the baffles, again not a big deal but would have been nice. They do have a nice end that is slanted so they fit right in the top plate of the wall. Good luck putting these in on an existing roof. It was not fun. Use a small piece of plywood to lay on if you can.

It works for me. Just staple it up and I can move my insulation out by a foot without blocking airway.

            Best Vents Ever
Easy to install. Sturdy. Easy to cut when needed. Awesome value. Make sure you get these. Don't buy the ones in the stores as the are difficult to position and cut. Don't be an idiot like me and forget the hip portion of a roof. You need to go to the store and buy the awful foam ones there with no performed front nail surface. Those are a pain and look awful when installed. I won't be staring at them often, but they still bug me. The only one that is strange is the packing of these for shipping. I ordered 32 and got 3 large boxes large enough to hold 1000 of them. Way more packaging than required. No real big problem. 5 stars. Get these.

              Best Baffle...period!
I purchased a 1973 "time-capsule" but the original owner failed to vent the 2 attics when he had the roofs rebuilt. I research baffles for over a month before I found the Accuvent brand and I was NOT disappointed! I have to install 80 baffles and I can tell you that after installing the first 60, I am VERY satisfied with the product! The material is SOLID...unlike the "egg carton" material the other companies push. Some of the baffles only needed 6 staples, but most received several more because of the tight confined space I was dealing with...I highly recommend you get some plywood to lay on and a small headlamp...hammer stapler is a must! Also, I found it easier to rake back your insulation first then lay down the plywood (I used 3 smaller pieces)...trust me...it will go FASTER. Since I was dealing with an existing roof, I used the 90 degree bend on the plastic lip as a guide to lay it flat on the header. My only concern is the extreme heat in the summer...hopefully it won't melt or warp. I can't wait to blow in the insulation!!! Giddy Up!

Does what it needs to do and at a great price!
I had to use these after gutting the front of my house so it was easy for me to hang them. My studs are 16" on center, so I needed to tare 2 per-perferated levels from each side to get them to fit. The first few were tedious but I found that if you're careful, you can tear several at a time. They are fairly thin and they seem like they'd be easy to flatten with new insulation but a few things to remember... 1) They're primarily there to Pass Inspection and facilitate airflow, 2) Facilitating airflow does not necessarily mean every baffle is completely clear, although inspection will require it. 3) There's not a whole lot of other options lol. So in summary, great product for the money, passed my inspection and should "reasonably" facilitate airflow in the attic so I have no complaints with these baffles.

These baffles worked just as described! Fit perfect, marked for bends and staple areas. Did every joists in my garage in an hour, very easy to use.

Easy to install and work well...but
The vents work well and are easy to install. One thing I found was that on a 5/12 pitch truss, they are barely tall enough for R49 blow in insulation, which is 16 1/2 inches. Just stapled a strip of plastic along the top of the vents to keep the insulation from blowing down inside the vent. R49 is code for my county/state.

                Perfect product
I couldn't imagine doing the attic vents with those cheap foam versions that would have torn too easily or the straight hard plastic ones that you then have to pack with batts of fiberglass. These bendable vent baffles worked perfectly with 6 staples. It seals the rim joist so that insulation won't leak into the soffit and provides plenty of height to allow well over 17 inches of insulation (R50 for the product I was using). I found it easy to push the plastic against roofing nails and get them to pierce the vent and allow it to lay flat against the roof decking with only the vent channel remaining open. Firm fit, good ventilation, and cheap meaning you can put one in nearly every roof joist cavity. I did use the perforated seams on some of these to make them narrower to fit in areas where overlapped joists or interfering objects would otherwise have made the product too wide.

                Installation easiest before shingling
Installation is easy if there are no roofing nails protruding through the sheathing. If there are, then you need a way to evenly press the channel dividers up against the sheathing without wrinkling up the plastic sheeting and tearing it. Probably some stiff foam blocks cut to fit into the channel dividers will work, but I haven't tried it yet. Good luck getting any information from the manufacturer.

                Great Soffit Vents
Recently purchased a home that has barely any insulation in the attic. Ordered these to prep for the process to blow in insulation. These vents are extremely easy to manipulate in tight spaces in order to get them into position and 6 staples is all it takes. The edges are perforated for easy adjustment if you have extra studs on a truss. They are lightweight so hauling 10 at a time across the beams is next to nothing. I can't imagine a better product for the money. These units have been engineered to make the process as painless as possible. Highly recommend this product for anyone looking to insulate an existing attic to cut down on utility bills.

Great Vent - Does what it is supposed to
You can't beat this vent at the price. Same material as the higher priced vents online and In store, plus they came shipped right to my door. I bought 10% more than I needed just in case I ruined any material. I ended up bring the unused portion back to the store. Very convenient!! I used more than 6 staples for installation. In the below freezing temps the plastic gets cold and cracks when you staple the material. I used 8 - 12 staples per vent. Get ready to crawl around in the attic. It helps if you can open up you soffits from the outside as well. They can be installed multiple ways as you see fit. I included a picture from the outside looking up into the soffit. During installation, I positioned all of the baffles in the attic, then I came outside and attached them to the header, lastly I finished installing them to the roof deck with 1/2" staples. Also, pro tip, make sure you insulate almost to the top of the baffles or cut them back to the height of your insulation otherwise you may develop a hot air mass that "hangs" in your attic below the level of the baffles.
