Do not buy this product if you live north of the mason-dixon line. We put these on a new house in southern Wisconsin and get condensation all winter long on the inside of the glass. When it gets really cold we even get ice build-up on the inside of the window. The seals are obviously not very good with the extreme cold. They will say it is a humidity problem inside the house and I guess it is because even if you have 30% humidity inside your house this will happen!

    Poor quality and workmanship
We have a new house and the contractor spoke highly of the Anderson windows. They installed a flawed patio glass stationary door. It had a run between the glass panels. They installed the door anyway since it was winter and starting into the winter months. When we moved into the house 6 months later I called in to customer service who was nice and informational on the phone. My beef is that the door was sent a replacement quickly BUT the installation of the new door was not covered. The installation cost me $726.68. This is rediculous it was Anderson's fault in the first place that the door was defective and was NOT installed correctly the screws holding the door in place around the frame were never put in. The installer nailed the door frame in from the outside and covered it with the house siding and on the inside with the door trim. When its cold the inside window emits cold air and when its hot the same thing. These are not quality windows and the warrentee is mediocre at best.

      KC Install
We live in an 80 year old house in KC. The windows were original to the house. When our contractor installed the Fibrex windows, he said "these will last as long as the original windows." As per the owner of Fibrex windows from Wisconsin, we went through a 2 week period in February in which temperature never made it above freezing, and yet we had none of the problems they did. Their issue with condensation was probably due to inadequate installation. Also, the Tru Scene screens are amazing, well worth the extra money. I would get an independent contractor and not use the Home Depot nor the Andersen installers. They're way more expensive.
