The instructions are not for a first time do it your self. I could put the next one up much quicker. Once installed the awning does every thing we wanted

I thought the assembly and installation instructions were easy to follow. I was planning to install above a sliding glass door that gets the morning sun. Unfortunately I don't have enough space between the top of my slider to the soffit to install properly and still be able to retract. I traded several emails with Eric from Awnings in a Box and he was very helpful but sadly I am going to have to return it.

Never unpacked everything, when we saw how many parts and screws, etc , We lost interest and returned it. The cashier said she’s put one on her house by herself, no problem but we didn’t feel like it. It sounded easy when we ordered it but it was a lengthy project for sure.

We love our new awnings, not only for the protection from the sun, but also for the nice dimension they add to the front of our home.
Adds a nice finished touch to windows. And they are retractable. I love the black wrought iron.
