Great coverage & protection.

I run the projects for the company but was out of town due to holiday. I purchased item for our guys to pick up and do the job. They went in to do so as instructed. I came back to see that fence color was completely different y from what we ordered online. We will be having to redo the fence. I’ll surely be going in to speak with someone at the store. Mistakes happen but this color is not at all as it appears online and this was close to $700 worth of paint. Our guys picked it up so I can’t rate delivery. As for customer service, they messed up on the interior finish as well. They kept saying it was an eggshell on their system but the label clearly said flat and you could tell the difference. We just bought 3 new gallons for interior and need to go talk to them about returning the others.

I am impressed by the Home Depot paint mixer! It always ensures that you get the precise measurements to get the shade of paint or stain that you want! Plus, the paint counter people at my home store in Plano are outstanding, always helpful!

Applied to cured yellow pine on a fence project. Product went on easily, and looks great now after a second coat.

The stain is excellent. It protects the wood from moisture and keeps a nice color and finish for a long time. It is the best I have found!

Great coverage, color last for years

Without the clumps please. I used 8 gallons for a fence the first five gallons covered just fine as expected on a dry exterior cedar fence. However the last three gallons I required to complete the job were full of clumps. I returned them to the store and asked that they shake them again. No luck still clumpy. The paint section said they would return the three gallons to Behr for a credit and provided another three gallons to me. These I found had clumps as well. I suffered and used them.

Very good solid stain. Very thick, if spraying, it will definitely need thinning. The stain is great, but Home Depot sucks. As a Pro customer, Home Depot will send discounts just after your purchases. This has happened several times with this time being no exception. I purchased 15 gallons on 3 separate visits over a weeks period and as usual, receive the 15 off 150 after the last $170 purchase of 5 gallons. Thanks Home Depot for loyalty to your Pro members.

Love the solid slate color as it creates a pleasant contrast against the white rocks on the property, however, it dried slightly darker than expected/desired. The stain spreads well, but I would recommend a light first coat with a heavier second coat for best coverage and quickest drying time. By the time I was done applying the first coat, I could go back and start the second coat! I would highly recommend you purchase and use the stain on the same day. I let mine site for a few days and had to remix... it took a long time until all lines disappeared from the stain in the can. It just added to my effort as I do not have an electric mixer/shaker.

The color, while not my favorite, is mandated by the HOA. But the paint is excellent - easy to apply, good coverage, water cleanup, and it holds up to extreme weather conditions for many years.

Excellent coverage. Application is smooth and easy. Good viscosity, so limited dripping or running.

I liked results. It was more like paint than stain.
